Am I the only who thinks all these sliding across the ice, arm-pumping "cellies" performed by juniors (and oilers) are stupid?

The Czech's were better than the US 5 on 5 and Sweden has struggled in both games so far what makes you think either of them will run over Canada other than your hate for the Canadian team?

If Lazar can translate this speedy power-forward style game to the NHL he could be a great player.

Sweden dominated the hell out of Finland today, didn't catch the first game, but they sure didn't struggle today.
I'm gonna go with your logic and say :" USA probably didn't get in the groove in their 1st game of the tournament", but they easily out scored them nevertheless.
Also I remember you saying something like "Czech are closer to Germany than the current top5 in this tournament", and I know Canada is your #1, so I'd say; Weak.

For a guy with 8 billion points in the QMJHL, Mantha isn't as tricky or smooth as I'd have expected.

Why not just make an argument instead of going with the personal attack?
If Sweden dominated then fair enough. I didn't see the game and just went off the reports from TSN and looking at the box score. I have said from the start that Sweden should be co-favorites.
Still says nothing about why any of those teams will "run over" Canada. Would be interested to hear your reasons if you can do so without the shots at me as a poster but based on your history I doubt that.

He has a great shot and scored 3 times with it in the first game. Today he is making some dumb passes where his shot would be the easy decision.

I missed both of McDavid's penalties, did they really warrant him being benched for the remainder of the game?

If Canada plays like this and their goaltending doesn't improve, one of the big 3 will 'run' over Canada. I didn't mean it literally, but win them anyways.
USA has good goaltending and they hate Canada as much as anyone so they always get a boost against them. Sweden is the home team and it's the big rink, which gives the edge to Sweden. Russia is fast & talented and they are used to the big rink also.
Finland out of those 5 teams is the weakest candidate, because they only have one good line and that's not gonna get them anywhere.

Not the penalties alone, but he has looked frustrated out there. I haven't seen anything that would warrant sitting him. However, I'm not the coach.

Pretty entertaining stuff so far...but this team is a long way from others we have seen have success in this tournament.
I can see them finishing anywhere from 1st to 6th when its all said and done....but truly think Sweden is the class of the tourney.
