I really couldn't care less about a re-vamped metro, but it might be less crap with the new levolution mechanic and more explodable walls...but we'll see

Bah, was going to wait but ended up buying it, and have the same issue as the beta.. I can't get SLI to work. 1920x1200 670 GTX SLI, if I set it to Ultra everything frame rates are in the 30-40 ranges with dips, GPU0 is pegged at 100% and GPU1 doing nothing.

I assume you have the latest drivers? I know they released new ones yesterday.

I agree with everything that's been said about Metro. I absolutely hate that map but I am hoping with additional paths and destruction that it might be less of a meat grinder.

Gulf of Oman



That dust storm on Oman looks pretty great. I don't know why they chose these 4 maps but they certainly wouldn't have been my picks. Gulf of Oman is decent but it's definitely not my favorite BF2 map. I wish they included Sharqi Peninsula, Strike at Karkand, Songhua Stalemate or even Dragon Valley.

Heck, BC2 had some really great Rush focused maps. Cold War, Nelson Bay, Laguna Presa etc. I don't even think the BF3 maps they chose are even the best ones.

I'm just happy they did this - it's something my COD playing friends and I talk about all the time. All the great maps they've have in the COD library that they could remake and package out as DLC - that's a map pack I'd pony up for. Not silly new maps that are theme based more than strategic.

I don't know, DICE had some great maps in their themed DLC for BF3. I loved the Aftermath maps.

Seeing that Gulf of Oman is back will ensure that I get this game (first need A PC...). The best map in the history of video games as far as I am concerned

I keep having freezing issues, the audio doesn't work the first 10 seconds.

I'm leaning on buying a PC and upping the graphics card and getting it for PCQ

There is something seriously unbalanced about the assault riffles and carbines. Playing support last night I was struggling to stay around a 1.0 KDR. LMGs seem balanced just right in that you need to tap-fire to maintain accuracy. Full auto is a sure-fire way to miss anything you're shooting at. However, think the Bi-pod needs to reduce recoil and spread a lot more than it currently does.

Assault riffles and carbines however are laser beams. Nobody on my team was reviving or dropping med kits so I switched over to assault and instantly went 13-3. You barely have to try with those weapons. Just unload a clip in an enemy's direction and you're practically guaranteed a kill.

Agreed pretty much, however on PS3 aiming is obviously a lot tougher / different. Have you tried the M249? You can unlock it if you do the campaign and (spoiler), sacrifice Irish. I find it's much better than the others.

Aside from the starting LMG I've used the LSAT and the PKP. The PKP is probably the best one I've used in terms of straight up accuracy. It's still BS that LMGs are required to tap-fire whereas ARs and carbines can spray and pray even at long range.

Played the Commander app in bed last night on my ipad for what I thought was 15 minutes - turned out to be 45! Pretty cool idea!!

Is the game still worth getting on the ps3? Thinking of getting the game this weekend but if the multiplayer has become dead due to people moving to the ps4 than I'll just save my money.
