Edmonton and Calgary with eerily identical records

Pretty much because you have hope, misguided or not, with the Oilers and no hope for the Flames.

Even our top prospect who was suppose to be our lone counter to the Oilers big 4 is now not looking so hot. Even Johnny Gaudreau is struggling now. The present looks terrible and now the future is looking more bleak.

The few things that deserve credit get it. When the negatives outweigh the positives, that's what you get.

Id expect with 3 1# draft picks Edmonton would be better, Flames are not a playoff team they weren't in a good position to be before the season began, until people realize that the easier the expectations will be. Its like a rerun around here.

What's embarassing is the bi-polar nature of some of the fanbase. Last game the Flames were losing with 2 minutes to go and they were the worst team in the league, they should blow up the roster, etc. They score twice and that tuned flipped suddenly.

Tonight, they were on the road and lost in OT. Their PP struggled and they didn't have their best game. It happens to all teams. And that is labelled as an "embarrassment"?

Why you hef to be mad?

yea maybe so .. eventually Edmonton is going to be the better team in years to come and will win the Stanley cup that's my opinion and Calgary will be left behind as one of the worst teams for years to come

It's hard to believe that "fans" are carrying on like this after the team has won 5 of their last 6 points.

Well then that is how you chose to view the team. Your choice. I'm honestly trying to look at the team without my Flames shades on. There was good and bad. Hard to be too positive or negative yet. I think Thursdays game is a good benchmark for the team. Come out flying and with energy and I will feel good. Come out with a lacklustre effort and there is more concern.

I missed the game tonight, but can some reasonable fan tell me why a 2-1 OT loss is an embarrassment?

Whatever.

Sometimes the bounces don't go your way - and sometimes the other team plays a decent game. You can't expect the Flames to outplay every opponent, we're a .500 team for a reason. Decent game, half decent result - our goalie stole a point at the end.

Move on to the next.

People that are positive:
-Goaltending was good.
-5/6 points in last 3
-Good PK

People that are negative:
-5 min major PP and 4 min double team could not score on
-not the best night for some of the forwards.
-Minn tied it with like 5 mins to go
Gio took a dumb penalty at the end.

Chose your side
