I haven’t paid attention to Howard stern but he’s probably no better than that.

Podcasts are fine, but maybe pick some that are better.
You meet people where they are.

If you are offended by that enough to change your vote you probably weren’t voting for Harris anyways.

Makes sense she’s go on there as it’s the #1 podcast in the country for women and second overall only to Rogan. I know my sensibilities are upset for sure

Ahh, America.

One candidate has been credibly accused multiple times, and found liable once, of sexual assault.

One candidate went on a podcast with a host who, in other episodes, has discussed (presumably consensual) sexual acts.

And guess which one is 'toeing the line.'

Harris should go on the Kelce brothers New Heights podcast. They're from Ohio...maybe get Taylor Swift to guest too? It gets a lot of listeners and likely a lot of white males. Same with Pat McAfee who's from Western Pennsylvania which is another key area. Have her go at it with Aaron Rogers.

Let’s go through my post again as you completely misinterpreted this.

“You meet people where they are. “

- ie If you want to expand your base you need to to on things that people at the edges of your base listen to.

If you are offended enough to change your vote ……

You is the plural you, French is excellent in that they have a different word for you and you but I digress,

But if a person is offended by her going on Call me Daddy that they wouldn’t vote for her as a result I would argue they were never going to vote for her anyway.

Does that clear up the intent of the post?

But also I don’t get how even with a simple reading of the you meaning the singular ‘you’ that you would interpret me calling you a trumper. The only way to draw that conclusion would be if you were offended enough that it would stop you from voting for her. But since you aren’t offended by it then you wouldn’t change your hypothetical vote and would be voting for Harris. So I don’t get how you conclude I called you a Trumper.

Just saw that Harris will be on 60 Minutes tonight. Apparently Trump had also agreed to be on the show at one point, but has now backed out like the coward that he is.

Ok like... I can reluctantly tolerate Harris on "Call Her Daddy" but ... "60 Minutes"? That's a bridge too far.

She will not be getting my vote this November!

The holding the GOP candidate and the Democrat candidate to bizarrely different levels continues.

But that's where you gotta give the GOP credit. Whether by design or by fluke, they've re-calibrated expectations of them to basically be "At or marginally above the maturity of a prepubescent boy" and they are treated as "Presidential", while the Democrats gotta be serious as a heart attack 24/7 or they get dinged.

The Democrats brought it on themselves because they want to be the "grownups in the room" so they have to live up to that expectation.

LOL, what a weird way to phrase, 'I am a racist, support sexual assault, and Trump and the MAGA republicans(Tea party) hold the same ideals as me.' Or 'I am so mad at the world I just want chaos because I am angry.' Because that is what you are a Trump supporter now.

Don't blame democrats for being those things, that's all you or them man. It isn't being a grown up to not do what Trump has done and is doing.

Your train of thought is quite a bit out there with illiterate internet users. If you actually feel that way, it might be time for you to look inward.

So what? That's not what she was talking about, it was mostly her usual messaging about pro-choice, women's access to healthcare, her history as a prosecutor ("protecting the weak and vulnerable"), family etc.

I also think it's kind of the point to go on podcasts where most politicians don't go, because that helps her reach people who don't normally hear her, let alone listen.

...also, what's wrong with talking about sex? That's not a bad topic. (And also looking at the episode list, the podcast is about lot more than that.)

(I'm also guessing you never actually listen to that podcast, and don't really know what you're talking about.)

Bill says it has been a deliberate strategy of the gop to tell whoppers, going back to at least Newt Gingrich.

The 538 podcast (which isn't very good anymore generally, unfortunately) made an interesting point:

The election is so close in so many states, that there's a very realistic chance of a landslide in either direction.

The polls are, they say, usually off by about 4 percentage points, and a ton of states are within that margin of error. If Trump is overrated in the polls, we get a Harris landslide. If Harris is overrated, we get a Trump landslide.

Could be a wild election night.

WASHINGTON — A new report from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce is sending a stark warning ahead of the U.S. presidential election, saying protectionist policies like Donald Trump's proposed tariffs could damage economies on both sides of the border.

The report authored by Trevor Tombe, an economics professor at the University of Calgary, said while most Canadians recognize the importance of trade with the U.S., Americans don't have the same understanding about how intricately the two countries are connected particularly at a time of geopolitical uncertainty.

Canadian officials and business groups have been meeting with Democratic and Republican counterparts across the U.S., making sure Canada is prepared for any outcome of the November election.

Both presidential candidates have campaigned on protectionist policies that could cause uncertainty for Canadian trade. Whoever takes the White House will be in charge during the review of the Canada-U.S.-Mexico agreement in 2026.

"Both parties have moved in protectionist directions for some time," Tombe said.

While Vice-President Kamala Harris is expected to stay close to the Biden administration's path on relations with Canada, last month she highlighted her opposition to the NAFTA replacement that was negotiated under the Trump administration, saying it allowed major auto companies to outsource American jobs.

Meanwhile, Trump has signalled his plans to impose a 10 per cent across-the-board tariff on imports if he gets a second term.

I am surprised how close the polls are. Trump continuously steps in turds that he is responsible for and yet retains support from his base. I did read an article saying people are leaving his events because they’re tiring of his negative rhetoric and lies. Less than a month to go, but I refuse to believe he gets elected.

It's crazy how the Trumpers are raking Harris over the coals about Call Her Daddy, and applauded Trump for going on with Adin Ross.
