kyuss275 quoting not working but for sure. If that's the case I'd rather extend him for a couple seasons for a slightly inflated dollar value and try again next year.

There was a theory of John Weisbrod being hidden in a closet with phone access.
Then it turned out to be a made up rumour by a guy who makes stuff up. The rumour about the Canucks looking in on Risto. Still unclear about if John Weisbrod is hidden in a closet with a phone access.

The Markstrom deal gets done tonight. After the Devil finish their game where they get blown out by LA, things heat up. The fax machines get warmed up during the 2nd period of our game and finalized right at the start of the 2nd intermission where the concourse is a buzz with rumours. Craig tips off the video montage guys it’s a done deal and they spend the intermission madly putting together a Markstrom highlight/tribute pack that is played during the last ice clearing of the 3rd. Marky waves while shedding a tear from the bench. He still comes out onto the ice after the game to congratulate Wolf on his shutout. At centre ice they both hold up their sticks to the crowd. He hands Dustin his stick, reaches down to muss up those ginger locks, and says “it’s all yours kid” before skating off.

What would Detroit have that makes sense? Most of their younger players are playing high up in the lineup.

It's obvious that the loser of the LAK - NJD game tonight ultimately wins Marky.

Picks, they are really under pressure to get going. Solidifying that back end would help them big time.

Loser has to add their 1st round pick into the deal and get nothing.

Simon Edvinsson and Axel Sandin-Pellika.
But more likely probably Berggren

I feel like with Detroit you'd be looking at some combination of:
- 2024 1st Round Pick:
- "B" Level Prospects: Kasper (was an A but progression has not been good), Berggren, Wallinder, Buium,
- Roster D-man: It's likely they would want to ship one of Holl, Maatta, or Gostisbehere back to the Flames in a Hanifin trade
I doubt any of Danielson, Sandin-Pelikka, Cossa, or Edvinsson would be on the table.

I wonder with the quantity coming back in these potential trades, if they're involving multiple roster players, if it's holding up things as Conroy tries to weigh what to do and what to do with the volume of players coming back? There's only so much room on the big club, and perhaps other guys need to be moved out to make room, beyond the usual UFA suspects.

Danielson would be an amazing add but unlikely unless we're sending something else along with Tanev

I'd suspect Conroy would target something around Rasmussen, a 1st, and a defensive prospect (Wallinder/Buium/Gibson). Maybe a conditional pick too.

No doubt, it is a constraint. They do have a couple of players that are not waiver eligible but I think Conroy would prefer to avoid that. Unless he has a follow-up trade which will open up a roster spot.

If Detroit would put Kasper in a trade, I'd suddenly feel much better about the flames center depth.

|
We shouldn't have to give up a 3rd to Toronto, if they want the player they can pony up the 1st. If not BT can go suck the balls off a barfing buffalo. Someone else will pony up a 1st.

Complete speculation on my part but what if they got Shai Buium in anticipation of trying to draft Zeev in June? Would be interesting.
