^^Andrea's sister and Jim in season 1. Both were bitten and turned.
Andrea's sister Amy died from the bite and came back whereas Jim was scratched I think, got the fever and they left him to die and turn.

When Michonne went Ninja assisain like on the Zombies that was great.
I'm glad that she is finally out of Governor town.
Something about a redneck sporting a poncho, with a crossbow riding a Harley made me laugh. You have to like Daryl.
Rick has lost his mind. That was acted like "Apocalypse Now" Brando style.
"little ass kicker" classic name.
There was allot going on in several story lines, overall I really enjoyed this episode.

I was so glad there weren't any zombie babies at that nursery!!!
As for Carol being dead or not, Nicotero on Talking Dead seemed to confirm she was indeed a goner....which sucks as both Lori & T-Dog had some decent farewell moments but she was just a toss-away casualty it seems.
I wonder at how the group seems to be just ignoring Rick's temporary leave of sanity...but then I guess they know that regardless of that, life goes on and they have to keep doing what needs to be done to survive themselves.
Also, loved Darryl & the baby...that was awesome.
As for Woodbury, I'm having a hard time being as "scared" by the Governor etc as I was with the comics. The show has made him a much more rounded, believable bad guy (who is clearly more than a little off his rocker) but at the same time, he seems somewhat neutered as he romances Andrea etc. The scene with Penny to start the show was pretty good tho - the kid zombies are some of the more scary/creepy ones imho.

I was hoping we'd see a Zombie baby eating the decaying corpse of its mother.

*shudder*
I was expecting it as well - I guess the show used all its "gore allowance" with Rick on his Apocalypse Now-esque walker killing spree.

You can also see what appears to be a bunch of Lori's hair in that zombies mouth.
So Carol is dead? In the most undramatic death/exit of show ever? Really?

Carol is not dead, the group is just assuming she is dead. Not too sure how many times it has to be said?

I know it's cable TV, but I'm curious just how far they can push the envelope for television. I know they drop the occasion swear word, but I don't think they've used the eff bomb yet. And of course the zombie kills are pretty graphic.
But walker babies chewing on dead people... that would be pretty wild.

Carol is still alive. Whether she last more than two episodes will be the next question.
Pretty much from the end of the fourth episode to the end of this episode was less than 24 hours, so it's not like a sophie situation where she's been missing for a week.
And then from a storyline prospect, I think that Carol has to stick around long enough to play some sort of role within the upcoming decision that Daryl will have when he meets his brother. Obviously all that awkward relationship stuff that they built up in Season 2 between Daryl and Carol has to play out in some form or another and I think Carol or Carol's memory will keep Darryl in the group.

I just don't understand why Carole walked off and we haven't heard from her since. Unless she is still being chased by a pack of walkers, wouldn't she have attempted to come back to the prison to join up with the group again?

I'm sure the producers learned from Season 2. While the character development was solid in Season 2, most fans thought that the barn scenes and the Sophia hunt dragged on a bit too long. I think the pace in Season 3 is a lot better - it's breakneck speed at times, but they're still developing characters and not going too quickly.
So while I agree with you that it's odd that Carol wasn't mentioned, I think the survivors were all assuming that because she was with T-Dawg when he was eaten it's natural that she's a goner too.
I'm very interested to see what actually did happen to her. One of the sub-plots I'm looking forward to seeing.

As mentioned, I think the real time was only like 24 hours. It's likely that she's hiding in the woods, or trapped outside the fence, or stuck on a side of the prison we haven't seen yet, or trapped in another courtyard.
Or, of course, she's likely just dead (by popular consensus on CalgaryPuck).

AMC is basic cable in the States so they don't get away with as much as the premium channels like Showtime and HBO down there. It's why despite heavy topics on both Mad Men and Breaking Bad I don't think I've ever heard the F word or seen a titty.
Merle dropped the N-bomb a couple times early in season one but that's been it in terms of language.
It terms of violence I think AMC is good to go and get crazy, we've seen how far they've allowed Breaking Bad so The Walking Dead should be able to push the Zombie gore.

No F bombs on AMC ever. They bleep them out but keep them in for the blu ray discs. There's very few.
In terms of subject matter and violence, it's pretty clear from these shows that anything goes.

What happened to the rest of Lori's body? That zombie couldn't have eaten the entire thing, bones and all.

Well she didn't just 'walk off', her and T-Dawg were being chased by walkers. She is either trapped in the prison somewhere hoping that the group will come rescue her, or she is dead. More than likely in the next episode we will either find out if she is dead or if she is alive. If you saw the preview for next week you see that the touched on this.

On the talking dead they said that the bloody drag marks were to show that the body was pulled around the corner...I would assume so they didn't have to show Sarah Wayne Callies as partially eaten.
I guess the zombie that ate her had her hair hanging out of it's mouth as well.

If the walkers can live indefinitely without food, why are they so ravenous for it?
I am wondering if the governor is using some of the dead from their raids to feed Penny. She seemed almost sedate until he tore off part of her scalp. Is keeping the walkers fed a way of calming them?
