I think Labour Day still draws a pretty good crowd.
Unfortunately we are 3-8 and they are 2-9 which is about as bad as it’s ever been IIRC.

Theres 2 parts for me to this.
1) Stamps ownership has done nothing to attract fans. Zilch. They've allowed the Stamps to become an afterthought. The only advertising I see for games is when I drive by McMahon. It's embarrassing.
2) People like my family friend , who I'll refer to as "Clay". "Clay" used to go with my brother in law and all their group of fans to Stamps games in the late 00's and up to 2015 or so. It was a big thing they had season tickets together. Now I see him post about how the NFL season is starting so his wife wont hear from him until February. They never go the CFL any more or even watch it as far as I know.
I can not stress this enough. If you love football and you devote your life to the NFL but cant be bothered to support the local product, you suck. I think you're garbage as a fan.

Yeah well a business that blames its customers for its problems is one that eventually goes out of business.

Yeah as also a diehard NFL fan, this drives me nuts. Admittedly at this point of my life I'm a bigger NFL than CFL fan, but I'll always love and support the Canadian game. It was my first football love, I wouldn't even be an NFL fan if I wasn't a CFL fan first. I don't know why people feel they have to choose one or the other, enjoy them both.
Even if you prefer the American game, if you enjoy NCAA ball, you've got household NCAA names coming up to Canada to play. Go head to McMahon on a beautiful summer evening, have a couple adult beverages while watching the sun go down behind the mountains and enjoy former NCAA stars carving up the field, it's a great time.

Don't worry guys. After I win the Lotto Max tonight I'm going to buy the Stamps from the Flames!
Get ready to see my 15 year old son as the starting QB next year! I think he is more accurate than Maier.....

After a terrible start, Maier had a good game against the Argos last week.

Well I agree the ownership has done little to nothing to promote the product or make it enjoyable to go to the game (going to the Winnipeg game it was shocking to see the prices and the lines and the stadium was half full at best), I am not sure it makes any financial sense for them to do so.
I don't think the CFL is really a strong league outside of it being propped up by TSN. It makes zero sense for the Stamps to put money into a stadium they don't own and likely less sense for them to build a new one. The league seems to be in a decline, if not steep decline, in terms of popularity so you can understand why the owners aren't in a hurry to do much more than the minimum.

You would think they could do a little more advertising to get more butts in the crappy stands though.

I doubt it, there are 21 sections not even for sale on ticketmaster. That takes away 10000 seats right off the bat, leaving 26000 for sale. Of those 26000 there seems like maybe 4000-5000 available. So 21-22k sold.
They'd need some serious walk up to have an even decent crowd. And walk up isn't a thing like it used to be due to technology making ticket buying so easy. Combine that with a crappy looking day and I'd say we'll have 22-24k.

Good game in Montreal tonight...having some sound issues. Maybe those ^$#* horns blew up the audio.

They should also refresh the studio and panel, update their player graphics and profiles, and enhance their advertisement and promotion of the league (some games should be on CTV every week).

Would be nice if they could hype the CFL half as much as they do the World Juniors.

They do. Do you watch TSN when CFL isn't on? It's absolutely advertised and hyped to a large degree.

Valji with a drive-by hit peice on TSN.
Not a usual TSN decent production value either, it seems as if he was told to do something by his bosses and scrambled to put something out before tomorrow and did it as quickly as oissible. A mashup of old clips and bad plays from this year, along with, for some reason, 20 seconds of the Elks win highlights, as it's all the current video he had access to. No mention of the close losses, just all negative.
Stamps are in tough sure, but 3 losses by 3 points and another 2 by 1 score, and the team is unlucky not to be 5-6 at least and have played like a .500 team or so. Being the CFL, plenty of hope left.
Valji is just miserable in this city it seems, and wants to be the first to write on the 2023 tombstone for the season.

Had to go take a look. Here is what Salim tweeted:
https://twitter.com/user/status/1698341143929598363
Video essay? I thought “okay, this should be interesting”.
Turns out it was a whopping 1:47 of fluff from Salim, trying to build up… something (?) in advance of Labour Day.
It was well-edited, I’ll give their video staff credit for that. But I was expecting something a bit more substantive… or maybe I wasn’t.

^ Substantive would require some research and effort. It's meant to be a "hey, if you didn't know, the Stamps aren't doing well this year" and nothing more; no stats to back it up over last year or years or insight as to why or what has to turn around etc.
This is just waste of time junk from someone who's shown in his Flames time, to be negative as the calling card. Being critical would be fine, but again, critical involves some backup, negative doesn't have backup.
The editing isn't up to TSN standards IMO; again, if it's about the Stamps, why take up any time in this essay in trotting out highlights from a team with less wins?
I am sure it will be a lead in on the show tomorrow to have Barker and Dunigan on the TSN panel, who were the last two head coaches before the Stamps started the current playoff streak in 2005, to have a couple chuckles about it.
