I laughed. But who do you cheer for Senator? I can't recall you sticking your neck out for anyone.
And, I am stuff that happened 50 years ago!

I'm pretty sure I've said I cheer for the Bucs several times. So we're kindred spirits in losing (I think the Bucs have the worst ever winning % since the merger). But you cheer for New England because cheering for the Browns is so depressing. I keep cheering for the Bucs even as the Glazers prove how awful they are as NFL owners.

Yeah, I don't get the whole "having a second team" thing. Outside of a 5 year run in the 2000s, the Eagles have been bad to average pretty much every year I've been a fan, but it doesn't mean I'm going to start cheering for the Seahawks as well.

Yeah but the Browns...I mean the Bucs have really only two losses I've been devastated over (including the Burt Emmanuel rule...). The Browns though? Wow talk about hope, then destroyed, then hope, then destroyed, then hope...I give troutman credit for even still caring at all. I'd be way too crushed as a Browns fan to continue past like 2006, let alone everything since.

My first team was the Patriots, but I always liked the Browns too (since the Kardiac Kids days). I would have cheered for NE in a game vs the Browns.
Now, I think NE has accomplished everything a fan could want, and I'd like to see the good people of Cleveland enjoy some success.
In a league with 30+ teams there are going to be a lot of lean years, so why not have a couple of faves? What is with sports fan monogamy?
As long as you don't cheer for rival teams. That is lame.

Seahawks are my team but I have a real soft spot for the Browns. I bought a couch jersey when he was drafted and have been a fan since. I don't live and die by them but I want them to have success.
I also owned a Braylon Edwards jersey for a while. Ugh.

And that comes only 4 days after Eugene Robinson himself spoke to the Carolina Panthers, warning them about "pulling a Eugene" before flying to Cali.

Looks like he should've had a similar discussion with the Broncos..
(but of course as the Panthers current colour guy, why would he?)
EDIT: Of course the difference between the 2 being that Robinson was a Pro Bowler while Murphy is a practice squad guy. Due to that, Robinson was even allowed to start in the SB by his team (it being a different era helped too), while the latter has been released and who's career is now most likely done...at least at the NFL level.

I take back everything I said. What a loser.

Quote:
Quarterback Johnny Manziel allegedly struck his ex-girlfriend several times during an incident at the Hotel ZaZa in downtown Dallas early last Saturday morning, according to a Fort Worth police report released Thursday.
Police initially responded to the assault call after a neighbor of Manziel's ex-girlfriend called 911 when she ran to her home to seek help, according to the report.
After arriving at the apartment complex in Fort Worth, Manziel's ex-girlfriend told police she was running in and out of her apartment to get away from the QB. Police say she became irritated and increasingly uncooperative with their questions.
The woman told officers that Manziel fled the apartment complex on foot. Police dispatched a helicopter to search for him. According to the report, police called Manziel's cell phone multiple times and received no answer. They also called Manziel's parents in an effort to locate him.

Browns, Bills, Lions and Vikings. If you cheer for those teams, you should have a 2nd team

This is my case. My team is the Bills, but screw paying for Sunday Ticket to watch that hot mess. So I watch the Seahawks too because it's our local market. I don't have the emotional investment in the Seahawks though, I just like to watch them.

Murphy wasn't charged, his brother was. I didn't even know he was on the Broncos practice squad.
Rod Smith made Robinson his bitch in that Super Bowl. Good times.

I should note that I followed flutie around as well,as,Garcia. Unless the game has an effect on the Seahawks I'll usually cheer for whatever team has an ex-stamp on it.
