Sorry just saw this...its on NBC.
So far 3 of the top 6 are Americans. Lost of skiers still to come though...and this is just qualifiers. Top 6 go to finals tonight, the rest have to go to the semis later this afternoon.

I wonder if Catriona Le May Doan will describe any of these speed skating races as "gutsy"?

Still has Super-G, GS, SL to get another gold. Would be surprised if she didn't win SG.

Call me a bad Canadian, but I was cheering for Vonn to win again today. Great skier, seems like a very nice gal, and isn't hard on the eyes, either.

Only woman in the world strong enough to use mens skis on the downhill, and after winning every race this season except for the last one before Vancouver, shows how much more exceptional she is than the others at this point.
That Norweigian that did the combo downhill/skijump yesterday tried using them a couple times this season but simply couldnt handle them.
Vonn rocks...but I will always cheer a Canadian gal to beat her....so therefore you are a bad Canadian.

This just in:
Norway is giving Team USA some trouble. After going down 3-0 in the first, Norway has come back to score for the first time in an Olympic tournament since 1994.
Team USA has given up atleast 6 odd man rushes, and so far, one short handed goal. Team Norway has really applied a physical forecheck and it is resulting in turnovers for Norway.
Backes looks more like a bully than a physical player.
At this point, Miller is keeping Team USA in it.

aren't the shots 30-11 in the game and 7-2 in the third for the states so far? I don't see how Miller can be "keeping them in it"

I'm watching the women's 1000m and noticed that three of the Russian women, and one Kazakh woman are named Yekaterina.
I just wanted to let everybody know...

Because the limited number of shots from the Norwegians have been for them most part good chances.
The game could have easily been 3-3 if not for some very good saves.
5-1 now for the Americans making the game look much less close than it actually was.
Both Johnsons and Whitney looked like pylons against the inept Swiss and Norwegian teams and the States have shown very little offensive creativity or ability.
