I think I understand what happened based on these comments. I gather that Choo got in the way of the throw back to the pitcher. Odor ran home and scored a run despite the fact the ump called the play dead.
If that's the case, can't the Jays hitters just block every throwback to the pitcher if theres a runner in scoring position?!?!

Umpires cannot call Time when the play is in progress. It was a live ball.
Don't know what the ump thought he was doing but the run should count.

I'm not saying it should count, but the ump made the wrong call initially. It should never have been called dead in the first place, so yes the call was right.
