If you want no sugar this won’t work, but I make my own tea and chill it to make unsweetened tea then mix it 50-50 with a sweetened tea mix.

Yep, not that I don't love me a good ciabatta for other things, or perhaps a soup and sandwich where I'm dipping the sandwich into the soup. But a proper full-sized sandwich without soupy accompanyment with ciabatta is a full-on masseter exercise, not just a meal.
While it's still a great bread, IMO it is an inferior choice compared to focaccia for sandwich-making purposes. The sandwich I can make with a quality focaccia is otherworldly.

Some restaurants *will* make you an unsweetened iced tea if you ask / have the right server or bartender. I've gotten it at a few places in Calgary, Klein/Harris on Stephen Ave being one of them IIRC.

I feel like "just make tea and put it in the fridge" is an option he's thought of, but it is nice to be able to buy these things bottled so it's easily accessible, flavor is always consistent, no hassle etc. Or just to be able to buy a small bottle at convenience store.

It's funny because you would assume the opposite if you didn't know. That teas in America were insanely sweet, and it Canada you could easily get the healthier, unsweetened tea.
Yet here we are. If we become the 51st, that is one small perk I look forward to. Unsweetened tea at restaurants.

I just spent the week in Atlanta the Ice Tea was horrible, both Iced Tea and Sweet Tea.
I hate them both.
I was trying to explain what was wrong with it to my American co-workers then I realized it was the chemical fake taste I was missing.

Nice ciabatta, light drizzle of olive oil, some pesto, bocconcini, prosciutto and capocollo. #### I’m drooling. I might literally go buy this right now.

Iced tea from a powdered mix is genuinely the best. It’s the gold standard..

I was reminded this week why I despise regular tea.
Had a bit of a sore throat so made some at work, first off it's so damn hot out of the machine that you burn your tongue so you let it sit and it gets cold, have to pay close attention to catch it at a decent temperature. Get all that right and you're rewarded with a terrible dirty water taste, 1, 2 or 3 teabags, just tastes like crap. I f'ing hate tea.

Green tea with roasted rice is amazing.
You'd like it. It tastes like water straight out of Pond Bonivista.

Tea >> Coffee
Can only stand the Coffee smell for a short while before it's gross. There are more sophisticated ways to get your caffeine intake than that sludge.

Office tea is the worst! It’s always orange pekoe mass produced by RedRose or some similar stem rejects. Get some Oolong tea and steep it properly, your taste buds will thank you.
For a sore throat add honey and lemon - sip while it’s hot.
For a sure cure: dark rum, honey, and nutmeg in hot water.

The amount of time between seasons on TV shows feels so long, sometimes. There's been multiple shows now where too much time passed and when I finally went back I went from "OMG, I can't wait for the next season!!!" to "meh, I'm just not into this anymore" when starting season two like 1.5 - 2 years later.
Not really their fault as sometimes it takes that long with writing, filming and actor schedules, but just is what it is.

Also, I know the price of fast food since Covid has been beaten to death, but the outcome of "value/fill up/snack" bull**** options on fast food menus is so annoying.
Every fast food chain knows the backlash and reluctance to buy fast food because it's now $9 for a burger/$16+ for a combo, so they've all instituted the same strategy of the snack/value items to get people in. They're all $4-$7 for "our FILL UP!!! item and about 1/3 the amount of food as when your ****ing regular burgers were $5-$6 just 4 years ago.
The fill up/snack size/value menu items are as close to literally nothing as you can get.

To think writers and crews used to grind in order to put out 20-24 episodes annually for most TV shows...
If they're going to take that long to release a season, a dozen episodes seems like a fair marker. Unless it's a limited run or TV movie type of situation.
Sounds crazy, but waiting 5-10 years for the entirety of a show's run to finish being produced seems like the best way to go, so as to avoid being blue balled for an eternity between seasons.

Literally cost me $12 dollars for a Wendys burger by itself, without fries or anything. A tiny thing I can wolf down in two minutes.
They've defeated half the reason one would opt for fast food in the first place (fast + inexpensive).
Between it sucking now and getting healthier I've cut most fast food chains from my routine, but I do occasionally miss being able to get a full combo with a single patty burger for $7 or whatever it was not all that long ago (a decade maybe).
The best bet for an adequately priced meal at those places now is getting the chain's app and seeing what their value deal for the day is and just redeeming that.

Your last paragraph will almost never happen - the studios/networks/streamers usually want to see how popular season 1 is before they order season s2.

It’s kind of frustrating to wait for new season, but shows for the most part weren’t as well written or have the same level of production value back then though. They didn’t often have much of an ongoing arc or vision to maintain, except for the occasional two part episode.

Thats pretty much it. It is what it is.
But I'm the exact same way, unless I absolutely LOVE something (looking at you Star Trek: Strange New Worlds!) then the huge gaps usually lose me.
Of course the strike didn't help.
I watched the first two seasons of Yellowstone, then there was a huge gap and I never got back into it.
Theres lots of examples like that, I will say at the moment Disney is among the most egregious. I know the reason for huge gaps in the Mandalorian is the fact that they're making a film and that Pedro Pascal is in huge demand so scheduling is a bitch, Ahsoka is looking at something like a 2.5 year gap between seasons which is ridiculous for a show that wasn't even really that good and then some series just didnt do well and got cancelled.

God damn the location roulette on kijiji/marketplace. I know it's not literally every time, but it feels like literally every damn time you find something you really want *types into google maps...annnnnd 32 minutes to the deep NW......and 31 minutes to the deep north east. 35 mins is almost the max time you can drive in any direction in this city in normal traffic, so how the hell do so many transactions end up just under or at the max?
I feel like I'm still paying for that one glorious day I found a great deal on something and was willing to drive anywhere, immediately for it and ended up walking seven houses down the street. It was glorious, but I feel like I used up all my kijiji/marketplace luck from the gods in one transaction.
