I'd also like to see more emphasis on the run game and getting the ball in Mills' hands as much as possible, as the weather turns colder, the run game and controlling the ball becomes more paramount. Also, can the Stamps start calling some screen pass plays please?

On the defensive side of the ball, I think this soft zone that the Stamps have been utilizing needs some tweaks as teams have started figuring out where to attack the Stamps. It also looks like guys are trying to do too much out there to me, just do your job and have trust in the guy beside you thar they will do their job.

8-5 going into week 17, the sky isn't falling just yet lol
This is where I'm at as well. Disappointed in these past 2 games, but aware that this group is capable of much better than this. They've got 5 games to make adjustments, get their problems sorted out, and get back to their A game.

Oh and VA, for the love of god please stop sliding head first. The difference between a head-first slide and a feet-first slide is at most 1 or 2 yards, and is it worth risking a season ending injury?

Changes to the ratio or possible complete elimination of the ratio?

Expansion
American rules
Getting rid of divisions
Change to kickoff rules

I think a change to kickoff rules is the most likely. After that getting rid of divisions.

I don’t watch near as much CFL as I used to, but going to American rules would ensure that I don’t watch another down. Our rules is what makes our league what it is.

Anything but that

Yep. Same here. Season ticket holder for 18yrs. I'm done if they go the Americanization direction in a big way.

Change the divisions and playoff assignment. But the NFL timing and kicking rules are seriously stupid. I'd even be ok with a minor tweak to the ratio.

I’ve seen speculation it’s four downs. It’s not. If it was, this fan of over 50 years including almost 40 ad a STH is out. I’d never attend another game. It’s not four downs.

I suspect at this point most current season ticket holders aren’t that important. If you can’t get new fans the league is going to fold soon. I suspect this is a last ditch effort.

I think if Americanizing the game is tied to becoming the official NFL development league that might work. But on its own I don't see it mattering, casuals don't stay away because there aren't four downs, they stay away because it's a minor league. Make that minor league more relevant to the major league and perhaps that could draw some American fans too.

Seems strange to announce something major during the season unless it's some sort of network agreement or teaming up with say NFL or something.

I suspect that you're never cared for the CFL and are actively cheering for its demise.

That's reassuring haha. Not surprised he was available that's for sure. I suppose he knows the offense at least.

If this announcement includes four downs, I’m calling the ticket office this afternoon to cancel. I’ve had seasons tickets for nearly 40 years. I doubt they’d do that.

How does shortening the end zone make it more entertaining? Makes it easier for DBs with less ground to cover!

Overall, gross changes with the goalposts and field size changing, but I've momentarily stopped sharpening my pitchfork.

The only change I don't like is shortening the field from 110 yards to 100 yards, but I can live with it. Tweaking the rouge is fine by me, rewarding failure for a missed FG or by punting a ball through the endzone was always sketchy to me.
