Ray McDonald is in trouble (again). Search warrant issued and police are going through his house investigating an alleged rape that may have occurred within the last 8 days.

He is not a smart man. (Allegedly)

Edit: 49ers sure acted quickly this time!

Ray McDonald has been released by the 49ers.

The obvious question: Are the 49ers still cutting him at 10-4 going to the playoffs? Probably not. And it's not an anti-49ers thing, its a "The NFL is the NFL" thing and unless guys are actually in jail teams will stay with them.

The Chiefs WRs are due right?

Has a team ever gone a full season without a TD pass to a WR?

Most of the 49er beat writers are tweeting similar things.

It was kind of a surprise - the tweets start off as, "The podium has been replaced by a table and chairs, this doesn't look like a normal Greg Roman press availability..." to the release announcement.

MMQB with a fascinating story on Danny Watkins, the Canadian firefighter turned first round pick of the Eagles back in 2011, now out of football:

Most people are saying untradable, but are the Bills crazy enough? Could see the Bills also giving RG3 a chance. You will get Cutler for very little, but Washington will want a lot in return.

Not since the forward pass is my guess.

The thing is Alex Smith still has 18 passing touch downs, not a good number, but he's thrown TD passes.

The Chiefs are tied with the Falcons with 39 total TD's which is 10th in the NFL, and I think their defense only has one of those TD's. Off the top of my head two are return TD's. So it's not like the offence doesn't score any touch downs...they're just doing it in a weird way. It is surprising that this far into the season they haven't thrown a single TD to Dwayne Bowe.

When Romeo Crenel was coaching them with Brady Quinn at QB, the offence was truly woeful. This unit isn't particularly good, but they're considerably better. They just don't throw to the wide outs very much.

He has always been so dramatically overrated. Dude is an average QB and an absolutely awful leader....brutal combo for someone making more money than anyone else in the entire NFL this season.

The ultimate "all the tools" but a "10 cent toolbox" athlete.

he's never been a winner and never will be. He's a sulker and it's comical that people love him the way they do.

What Bears fans are you talking to?

Fans in Chicago have resorted to burning their Cutler jerseys and he is constantly the one taking all the blame, week after week.

Thats the thing- I wouldn't even give him that much credit. He has no emotion on the field on any level. He doesn't get angry or happy. Just completely unresponsive.

The stupidity of some GM knows no bound. Cutler usually has one good game every couple of months and he's the highest paid QB in the league. His deal was a disaster from the beginning and most fans could see it except for the Bears' GM.
