If that is the way you feel, you are more than entitled to stick to it. Just don't ever criticize any trades, any coaching or any players play from this point going forward.
Because you aren't any of those either, so apparently, you are not qualified to say anything negative about it.

Difference between I would have like "player x" and Feaster is the worst GM of all time for taking player y. Most on here aren't simply voicing a different opinion, they apparently feel they know the prospects so well this late I the draft that they feel qualified to suggest the GM is a moron. They most certainly aren't qualified to be as upset as they are about the pick.

I was a huge Pelech fan! Loved what he brought but I think injuries in multiple seasons set him back too much

Nope, I liked Nemisz but I wasn't ever a huge booster. That's incorrect, SebC
I've never fancied myself as an expert though, that's the issue at play here.

On 28th if Flames do not trade, hoping for Zykov, Hagg, Klimchuk.

I'm still very happy with Monahan, so I'm not that upset.
Still, please don't pick Fucale at 28. McCoshen or Zykov please.

Don't think so. Monahan has been on everyone's radar since his rookie year in Ottawa. Horvat has made some leaps during this draft year.. regardless, I would put my money on monahan as being an impact player over horvat. Horvat looks like a safe bet for 3rd line role guy.

Picks are all over the place at this point in the draft it would seem. Let's focus on Poirier and what he brings to the Flames as opposed to crapping on everything and everyone right away.

I think one of the problems is that every pick Feaster makes "was in our top 10"

people 'ripping' the pick are ones wondering if he would be available at 28... potentially getting both Shinkaruk AND Poirier.
people are talking about pick value, not the pick itself.

A more physical Alex Tanguay with great character would be amazing.

I said Horvat looked like a 3rd liner but I've always felt Monahan looked like a 2nd liner but Horvat was really, really good in the Memorial Cup. Better than I thought. I still am glad the Flames picked Monahan over Horvat but the Canucks have got much better value out of their two picks. Can't be argued.

ridiculous.

Well our biggest weakness right now isn't a lack of a centre, or a goalie, it's that we are weakest assed pussified team in the league. We should have traded the 22nd to the Wild for Clutterbuck.
I want to puke thinking how weak we are. Butlersoft team to the max.

Zykov >> Hartman at 28 ... but either of those two please. Right Wingers with adequate size. Why not?

His exact quote on Horvat a month ago:
