Yeah, the Blues run has been incredible. If they won a couple less games on that run the Flames would be a point back with a couple in hand.

Let this be a lesson as the ATL confirms it, unless you're winning 15-0 with 2 minutes left in the game - never, ever, ever do the god damn wave.

The potential is there to be a really impactful player. It just takes confidence, and a belief that you belong, and then the game slows down.

He has the wheels, size, and hands to be a really good middle 6er. 15ish goals, with the other things he brings, would be amazing.

I agree. I hope in the new arena they have a sniper perch to take out anyone that tries to start a wave in a one or two goal game.

I once got in a debate with another fan about why I hated it and said - imagine you're playing in your home arena, as a kid or even a pro, and the fans find it more entertaining to watch eachother stand up and down in rhythm than it is to watch you win. I stand by that claim.

Yeah, what's with paying customers thinking they can enjoy themselves - selfish mofo's!

Nothing worse than a crowd getting energetic

Klapka has more upside potential than Pospisil as a top 6 player. 3 goals in 22 games in mostly a 4th line role vs a guy who been given a ton of opportunities and has 4 goals.

Both players have the same question mark.

Can you bring that level of intensity over an 82 game season?
For most players its a no.

Yeah it's hard to be against crowd noise, but the wave is annoying as hell.

I'd like it in a huge game during a tv time out.

But during the play it's so distracting.

Klapka:

I've been pretty down on him the last two years. Would love to be wrong!

I don't get what's fun about doing the wave anyway.

Connie let’s show some patience with this guy and watch him turn into Protas.

Thankfully these bubble teams they're playing out east will be desperate. Those are tougher games than they might normally be given the circumstances.
This. Why is everyone assuming the Wild will go 6-1 or 5-2? They're 8-9-2 in their last 19 games.

96 points (surprise surprise) will do it for the Flames.
94 points might even get the job done.

Dare to dream.

Hate it personally, when I'm in the crowd. But most fans appear to love it.

I think the pertinent question here is: who cares? Why does it bother people?

The Flames have 9 games remaining, they need 14 points to get to 96

they will need to go

7-2-0
or
6-1-2

Personally I find it distracting and quite often too much for my jinx sensibilities.

Sorry if someone else brought it up but, was Bednar sending a message to his team about blowing the lead, with his shoot out choice to go second and not his top guys?

This goes to show how differently we experience these things. It's similar to the ads on the boards and on the ice; rarely do I even notice them, and they do not affect my viewing experience. And I'm a highly distractible individual in other areas of my life.

Maybe he's seeing how well the Blues are playing and he'd prefer the Flames make it in.
