I think he can handle it!

Wolf needs to do what he feels is best

Every other team in the league has actually been outplayed badly and lost by 3 or 4 goals...except the Jets

I'm not sure if the image that was shown during the intermission of baby Dustin Wolf and Crosby was posted online, but it's precious:

^Part of the story was how this was when Crosby was struggling with concussions but still made time to do this type of thing.

These are the Flames "Deserve To Win O'Meter" numbers from MoneyPuck. Kind of aligns with the eye test for me. This game is the only one we really "stole".

Vcr one too. That one was a train wreck start

The difference is, another year they would have been down 4-0, not 2-0, and would have never come back from that

Train-wreck start, but dominant finish. That one could have gone either way – bearing in mind that it was typical October hockey, when scoring runs high and defensive play is often sloppy.

Utah is not an expansion team.

Yeah, but the only reason they were in that position was that Turek was in god-mode. Those Flames had basically nothing else. This team feels A LOT deeper and more skilled.

Turek started his Flames career with back to back shutouts IIRC. Then after that great start, the team soiled itself

The team was what it was. Turek went to pieces (as he himself later admitted) after he signed a contract extension for big money. Instead of playing the way he had always played, he put pressure on himself to do more and prove he was worth the money. Everything he did to try to improve made him perform worse.
It was a perfect example of what happens when you ignore the rule, ‘If it ain't broke, don't fix it.’
