As funny as that would be, I don't think that's the case.
It was clearly Colorado whom need help everywhere. They claimed Kahkonen instead of Lavoie this time.

I feel like Lavoie is probably better than Kirkland, and it would have been kind of fun to #### with Edmonton and Vegas in this. But, overall it's just fun to watch Edmonton back themselves into a corner!

Ville Husso, Detroit 's opening day starter put on waivers. Yes he did have a bad game, but a good pre season, and coming off injury.
Seems kind of harsh.
