If puckpedia is correct, then it is a $95k signing bonus plus NHL minimum salary ($775k) for a total of $870k

He still gets the signing bonus he would have gotten with the ELC.

I wish someone could sign me to that kind of a contract! I'm in the wrong business!

You have to find a business where you’re one of the 700 best in the world and people pay 300 dollars to watch you in an 18000 seat arena.

Look at it this way. There are alot of lines of work where you can earn that much cake and not be anything close to the best 700 in the world at it.

Did the Flames ever announce this as an ELC in the first place? If you look at the tweet in the first post, it just says it's a one-year two-way deal, no mention of being entry-level.

Compare that to the Brzustewicz signing announcement that specifically says "Entry-Level"...

They just traded 6 assets for futures.

If they botched those transactions I think there would be pages of people discussing it.

This isn't a site or a fan base that's immune to criticizing a hockey team.

Just the rational among us don't lose it over insignificant things.

Yeah, we really tend to let the Flames off easy around here that's for sure.

Basically zero scrutiny whatsoever lol

Of course, the kid’s not actually making that much now. He’s getting his minor league salary - $82,500.

If you are a Flames fan why?
You seem to have nothing but disdain for the organization
