Point totals without a comparison of point % aren’t meaningless, but don’t carry nearly as much meaning as you’re trying to convey

This Huberdeau trade reminds me a little bit of the Jokinen trade. I think the Flames should stop dealing with the Panthers.

In theory, LA, Vegas and the Oilers are all catchable
But not easy to do with your stars Huberdeau, Kadri and Markstrom are playing like ####

Oddly, I'd love to play Seattle
They might be the least daunting #1 seed in decades

With Vladar in net we are better than Vegas, Seattle or the Oilerz.
Even with the Kings.

I don't like using the coach as an excuse but it's not like anyone individually or the team as a whole is doing anything remotely special under Sutter's leadership.

I also think he works best with speedy and intelligent players. We don't have the right pieces to work really well with him. I have a feeling that him and Peltier are going to click really, really well. Huberdeau has someone in Peltier that he can grow that chemistry with. If they keep Kadri on that line then those 3 could really blow up.
I see the foundations of great things there. I wouldn't trade Huberdeau right now. He'll find his game when he gets the right people to work with his skillset.

I'd say Vegas without Stone and LA are pretty catchable
Flames will need to win games but losing in OT to the Rangers on the road isn't the dagger some seem to think

That's in the past. I'm talking this year. Also, those were players playing for their next contract to help them out of here.

Not as bad as dealing with Toronto.

I know different players
But there are plenty of examples of the "adjustment season" before the player rebounded after a trade
See: Pierre Luc Dubois, Jack Eichel
Maybe check back in next fall

If the flames don't learn how to defend, check and just be better in there own end they won't be in the playoffs.

Can’t even imagine if we didn’t sign any of the traded players and kept draft picks how much better off long term this team would be.
Huberdeau is not a $5 mil player.

Maybe Huberdeau is a player who only does well in fire wagon style hockey. It could be something as simple as that. Regardless of the reason, having him at an elite level would do wonders for this team.

Fun game. Highly entertaining. Could have gone either way. Terrible terrible play(s) by Z at the end.

He played with Bennett and Duclair in Florida, I don't know if you can used speedy and intelligent to describe them.

Though the Jokinen trades were with Phoenix and the Rangers, not the Panthers.

I think he will look like a 6-7 million dollar player next year
That's still not a 10.5 million dollar player though
