Just because he's an elite goalie doesn't mean he's going to stop every single shot. Tips and screens are tough plays for every single goaltender in the league.

If you want him to stop every single shot you are asking the impossible of him. It's not like he's letting in dribblers from center ice. It's just one of those nights, not a big deal.

Why are people talking about the goaltending, when the top line has been directly responsible for 2 of the 3 Blues goals?

Oilers faced the worse goalie right.

Riding that backup handicap all year.

Because it's easier to blame the goalie.

Starting your starting goalie. For sure, tough to imagine.

Oh look who it is, Flames must be down a goal

The other guy also got lucky with a couple posts and a shot that hit a dman just before going in the open net

It's a fine line

All three were extremely tough but the other side has gotten better saves regardless. You would hope he would have had one of them. Still bad defense too.

Yikes. LA only 3 points back of the Flames now. The boys had better clean up these mental mistakes they're making, or they could find themselves in 2nd place pretty quickly.

I think it's fair to say that not overworking might be a good plan either way

Good point. Didn't realize they had so many in hand. Still though, you have to win those games to keep their cushion intact.

Perron will inevitably get a goal (he always seems to score on us) so the Flames will need at least three more to win tonight.

So evaluate it in context and not something silly like "3 goals on 10 shots".
OK. Based on results the Flames are losing and there's been three goals on three perfect shots....out of ten. Better?

It's a results game...close ain't cutting it. Slop isn't either. And yes, goalies DO actually stop deflected shots. Sure it's partly luck, but also partly positioning. And I think Marky keeps losing his net a bit. Not sure that's such a simplistic thing. Don't like the floater goal on the first shot. You see that teams are now trying that. Methinks the video guys have picked up on something. Dunno what it is...but they wouldn't try it if they didn't know something.

Well even if you win half that is a 7 point lead and LA has 11 games left

Just saying it's not as close as it looks

It’s 3-2 for God’s sake. People in here talking like they’re down by 6 and the season is over.

Guy it's a point shot and a tip...every team in hockey tries those the video guy didn't figure anything out. Flames just hit the post on a similar play.
