Aw man, Toffoli almost got one. Great effort by Mangi there.

Pretty weak call. Game management.

OK - what's the broad and complex way? I get tha the team in front isn't playing well, but isn't that why you have a top level "elite" goalie?

I think he has been to deep in his net lately on the long shots though.

Why don't the Flames get PPs until they're down on the scoreboard?

What about infractions committed before that point?

This has been a consistent thing this calendar year.

Flames so sloppy tonight. Bad passes, bad reads. Let's hope for a better 3rd.

Blues played perfect clean hockey prior. Only explanation.

well start by considering the quality of chance. Expecting him to stop a deflected shot is silly. The second goal was perfectly placed with a partial screen in one of the tough locations for a goalie to stop. Yes he was deep in his net, but that's in part because of blown coverage that led to the chance.
So evaluate it in context and not something silly like "3 goals on 10 shots".

The starting goalie anyway. "Bad" goals on them are ok when they're on Rittich and Vladar.

It's hard to see our offence go so cold all at the same time. Didn't help that Husso is lights out against Pacific teams.

Flames have been the far far better team, they need someone named Coleman, Mangiapane, Backlund, or Toffoli to pot one today.

Markstrom has been awesome this year but let’s not pretend he’s the better goalie tonight. Husso has made way more and way better saves. When you have only allowed 10 shots in 2 periods you should be winning.

Toffoli doing a 2022 Monahan impression tonight. Late to every puck, can’t score.

Saad blows. Every time he scores it’s because the opposing defense isn’t paying attention.

This lineup needs Ruzicka back in it, he was great.

This team is getting back to its bad habits in relatively short order. This does not look like a cup contender.

Flames are dominating and unfortunate to be down a goal

Outstanding defensive effort by Ras on the 2 on 1.

Weird how our scoring has suddenly dried up. Flames have had some good chances and hit a couple of posts. They're just not getting the bounces.
