Last year stung for them, but this year, they were basically all incredibly close games, in terms of score, and then they can’t even engineer a 1-goal 2-period showing after being up 3-0 (3-1 after the first). 7 unanswered. A new level of single game humiliation they will have, just to remember.

I made the decision to not renew season tickets after last season and I’m completely satisfied with my decision. Nothing worse than watching these guys coast all night and then have to walk back to the car when it’s -35.

Hockey in August was a nice change of pace. Wish the result was different but this was completely expected. This franchise has to be one of the worst in all of professional sports. Sad for fans who spend their hard earned money supporting this product.

I forgot where i read it, maybe one of Bingo’s game takes, congratulating Treliving for the shrewd pickups. I think it was after game 1. Yes they were serviceable defensemen and were helpful.

But totally illogical in the big picture. So they didn’t break the bank but just another example of short term thinking and no real visible plan. And we find ourselves short some worthwhile picks.

It comes down to coaching. Look at the Islanders. Their D are Pulock, Pelech, Leddy, and Toews. They is no way they are better than our 4. But they are organized.
