Yes, sadly. This is the big leagues. You can have a bad game from time to time. You can't have a bad game in an elimination game.
Pack your ####.

The sad thing is; that is definitely true.

Disagree, Talbot earned at least a 2 yr contract as a backup mentor during the playoffs. No save Dave earned a 1 way trip to the Chech league

Let’s... let’s just start fresh... shall we?

New team, new franchise, new GM, new uniforms. Let’s just zip up this version of the Flames and lock them away forever- forever to be forgotten. Let’s move on to a new brighter future starting now. Let’s clean house and declare a complete and utter re-start across the board. Almost like an expansion franchise or something. Let’s wash our minds of this entire horrendous ####ing experiment that is this abomination of a team.

I’m ready to see new... everything in nice new fresh Flames silks. Blow it all to smithereens. Like... ALL of it.

Oh, nothing happened. I just meant for the players to remember.

Last year stung for them, but this year, they were basically all incredibly close games, in terms of score, and then they can’t even engineer a 1-goal 2-period showing after being up 3-0 (3-1 after the first). 7 unanswered. A new level of single game humiliation they will have, just to remember.

It’s funny when the Bruins do it to the Leafs. Less funny now, for some reason

Monahan would be better served showing that passion and emotion on the ice then.

I made the decision to not renew season tickets after last season and I’m completely satisfied with my decision. Nothing worse than watching these guys coast all night and then have to walk back to the car when it’s -35.

Hockey in August was a nice change of pace. Wish the result was different but this was completely expected. This franchise has to be one of the worst in all of professional sports. Sad for fans who spend their hard earned money supporting this product.

I hope they do, but I don't have a lot of faith they'll see any of a pretty obvious pattern.

Sportsnet just showed a stat: all-time when facing elimination, the Flames have a -36 goal differential. Incredible.

That guy is an idiot. And a lousy play by play man.

Derek Wills is much better at describing things in real time than he is at thinking about things and volunteering any type of critical or thoughtful analysis

Incredible asset expenditure. Instead of low-balling a home-grown player in Kulak and then trading him out of spite for exercising his CBA-given right to arbitration, we could have signed him for ~$1 million and been in the same place.
Glad someone brought this up. Rentals at the deadline for depth players.

I forgot where i read it, maybe one of Bingo’s game takes, congratulating Treliving for the shrewd pickups. I think it was after game 1. Yes they were serviceable defensemen and were helpful.

But totally illogical in the big picture. So they didn’t break the bank but just another example of short term thinking and no real visible plan. And we find ourselves short some worthwhile picks.

It comes down to coaching. Look at the Islanders. Their D are Pulock, Pelech, Leddy, and Toews. They is no way they are better than our 4. But they are organized.
