Lol. If I had a narrative.
Thanks for your contribution too.
Went back to the last 50 games and the screwed up counting last one, if you really care.
The Flames played 22 games up to that point and Bennett played 11 games over 14 minutes with 4g and 2a. A good start for sure. 11 games under 14, mins with an assist.
It also appears to to be the time in the season the coaches started cutting back ice too, because after playing half the 22 games that season to that point with increased minutes, he played 32 times of the next 50 under 14 minutes and had better scoring stats by playing under 14 minutes.
And just because:
Season before, 6 g 7 a in 45 games played over 14 mins.
5g 8a in 37g playing under 14 minutes.
And the proper correlation to this is who got increased minutes with Sam’s decreased minutes, and how they did. But it’s pretty clear that Sam getting increased minutes, on its own, does not clearly equal being significantly more productive...so the current coach, or GG 2 seasons back, have seemed to have found the sweet spot for his ice time (fitness?)again, that is assuming that someone else is taking those additional minutes from Sam and being more productive.
