Nobody should care actually. If someone looks down on your generation it means their jealous of what you've achieved.

Actually people look down on the boomers because they destroyed the economic balance of taxation and services as a result of their greed and an outright refusal to pay the actual cost of the services they received.
Not because of jealousy.

It's nice to know that i'm being stereotyped as a greedy person. I'm far from that in my real life.

It's a statement on a generational average and you know that, so stop it. No one's buying the victim play, especially after you literally just mirrored a statement on an entire generation. Have some self awareness.

meh whenever I hear fellow Millennials whine about this stuff, it always reeks of the need to point the finger at someone else for a dissatisfied life.
Whatever the transgressions of generations past, we'll have our own when we become the old guys on the block allegedly holding the young ones back.
We may not have the same magnitude due to relative proportion, but alot of this stuff is just human nature that transcends all generations.

I suppose in hindsight I should have taken the higher road and said nothing. The fight between millenials and boomers will continue long after i'm gone from this earth.

Statements like this reek of somebody born on third base that thinks he hit a triple.

Probably closer to 1st base and I'm still grateful for that. Ironically its usually the 3rd basemen you reference that I hear this trite from, but that's irrelevant.
The point of my post is that every generation will have their struggles, its not unique to generation d or z, and someday we too will be labelled as ol' greedy aholes who pillaged the system for self gain too. Life is hard, resources are limited, and you just have to deal with it because its the world we live in.

And yet there are Millennials out there who are doing quite well for themselves and a don't feel the need to finger point. To some point life is what we make of it.

I'm doing pretty well and I still think the Boomers were terrible for economic balance. You don't have to be in a negative situation to recognize a detrimental effect.

Pissing matches between generations have been going on for a long time. 30 years down the road, you will get the new generation complaining about how useless millennials are, and the millennials complaining about how entitled the new generations are.
Everyone overvalues their own skills and self worth IMO. Kind of like how everyone is an above average driver, or are the better parents. No one admits they're the crap driver holding up traffic, or the hockey parent berating a poor kid referee.

Yes, but not all struggles are equally difficult. And the struggle referenced here is an economic struggle. Lucky for me, I'm a Gen Xer. Bought my first place when houses were super affordable in the early 2000s. Wages haven't gone up much, but house value have pretty much tripled in that time.
Whenever things are tough, my friends and I remind ourselves at least we bought all our houses on a 60% off sale. I have a lot of sympathy for millennials. Of course some will do well and it's great you are; however, it is objectively harder for 20-somethings to get started now than it was 15 or 20 years ago. I can see it plain as day and I think every statistic would back that up.

That's true for statements like "the new generation has no respect" and crap like that, but millennials are factually correct when they say they have marked economic disadvantages compared to Gen Xers and Baby Boomers.

Statistically, Boomers have been given the most for the least amount of work.
Later generations will have to work harder for less. That's a fact.
I'm not sure how a Boomer can describe a Millennial as "entitled", when Boomers are literally the most entitled generation in human history. When most people talk about Millennial entitlement, they are referring to Millennials fortunate enough to have wealthy Boomer parents who spend a lot of money.
I agree with other posters, that it's absolutely shocking how little some Boomers have saved. CPP is not what it used to be.

It's a generational thing that's been going on forever. The young vs the old bickering/finger pointing is not something new and was going on when my parents were growing up. Be grateful for what you have, deal with what you have and move on.

This is tangential. No one is saying this is the first time there were disagreements between generations. There is literally a term "generation gap".
The Boomers are the probably biggest "me first" generation ever. Does it mean every Boomer is that way? Clearly not. But this isn't some made up thing by Millennials who just want to complain, it's a pretty documented issue. Taxed the least, demanded the most, took the massive economic boom provided post war and pissed it away. What's to look up to there?
I am grateful I just seemed to beat the crest of the wave that millennials have to deal with now. And look at me, not having to deal with the problems and yet still able to accept the existence of them.
