Remember, everyone: the last time the Flames played Vancouver, the Canucks shot out to a lead off a fluky goal (by Nikita Tryamkin). The Flames won 4-1.

Also, this game needs more Gaudreau.
He's usually so good against the Nucks. He should be doing whatever he wants in the offensive zone out there, but seems hesitant so far.

They will make some breaks so long as they don't let off the gas.

It makes me feel ill to be down a goal to these morons after 1 to sheer luck, but then again that was the case on NYE. At the intermission we assured ourselves that they would come through, and they did. So I'm hopeful we'll have a repeat performance.

Also, it's time for Jokipakka to go back in for Wotherspoon. #26 has not been very good tonight.

Flames were the better team, just unlucky. They just need to keep pushing and stick with it and they'll be fine.

What a bad luck 20 minutes that was. I have no faith in Brian Elliot. I know he won five in a row but that was against some awful hockey teams. I hope Chad Johnson takes the net back again because I just don't feel any confidence with all Elliott at all.

Elliott has been fine tonight. That 2nd goal was as flukey as they come.

Great save by Miller just 39 seconds in on Monahan.

They might have been bad teams but he did his job and ensured the team got the win rather than play bad and cost them. He shouldn't be getting any flack for tonight either. It would be the same with Johnson.

That was a terrible pinch by Engelland which led to the bad bounce 2nd goal.
