No, lot's of people won't. Just because 2 teams have the word Knight in their name will not make people think they are affiliated in any way at all, especially since Vegas would be the Black Knights.
The Army doesn't want them using the Black Knights name, so it would have to be just Knights or nothing. Apparently, they're going with nothing.

For some reason I really like the name Arachnids. Opens all kinds of doors with such things as marketing. Sure there could be some awesome designs of a terrifying spider worked in with webbing for jerseys. I have a bunch of crazy ideas to push the theme further.
I can understand the annoyance of all these Chicago fans with talk of various forms of 'Hawks'. Why not annoy Montreal fans instead and call the team the Las Vegas Re-Habs.
When I think "Nighthawk", I don't think of a bird –#I think of someone up at 3 AM up to something. So for me it totally ties into Vegas / gambling all the rest of it.
