Edibles my friend.

Isn't that exactly what governments do? In fact more progressive countries are moving towards even shorter work weeks due to the negative impact long work weeks have on people's health.

Decriminalize the use of small amounts (ie personal use). Production and trafficking should still be criminal offences.

If you want to take out the criminal element, legalizing and regulating production and personal growing is the best way to do it. No profits for criminals that way. Otherwise, by keeping production illegal you incentivise the crime.

The best way to look at it is what are the goals? Then you tailor the solution to that. If removing gangs from the equation is the goal, you have to do more than simple decriminalization.

Oregon started legal marijuana sales. I guess there will be more data to look at soon.

Also, a tribe is South Dakota legalized pot and is planning to cash in on marijuana tourism by building a marijuana themed resort.

People are going to be doing it one way or the other. I would say legalize and control it the way booze is controlled and make boatloads of money.

I'm not advocating for pot use since I think it's detrimental to overall health, but again people are going to do it anyway. Tax and control it.
