Giants will have MadBum, the Shark, Cueto, Peavy and Cain as their starting 5. That is as strong a starting 5 as there is in baseball if that group can stay healthy.

Lincecum is a Ufa. He rebuilt himself as a reliever after his medical issues were diagnosed as chronic. He may be able to work in that role and thrive, but whomever takes him would be aware of the risk. He also desires to stay in SF.

Not like the Giants to give big contracts to older pitchers.

Must be feeling the pressure from LA and ARI.

Also, even numbered year.

Affeldt retired.

I'm interested to see if Cain can return to form.

Madbum and the Shark can both hit. Will be fun to watch.

Iwakuma apparently failed his physical with the Dodgers.

Yanks trade 4 prospects for Chapman. All of a sudden, the Yanks bullpen is looking like KC's. I don't know about the quality of prospects traded but Chapman's a huge pickup if he's healthy.

Their rotation is still garbage, but that bullpen is pretty impressive.

Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza elected to the Hall of Fame. Griff actually got the highest percentage of votes ever at 99.3%. 3 people out of 440 decided to somehow not even have him on the ballot.

Probably the best player I ever saw play. Easy decision. Sometimes writers will not vote for a slam dunk to use their vote for someone else, so that might be what happened here.

There is no argument — Mike Piazza admitted, multiple times, to taking PEDs.

The crack in the damn or a reward for honesty? Bonds and Clemens to follow shortly or never because they continue to deny?

It's why I always loved Griffey. He got injured. He slowed down as the grind of the year went on. During the insane home run days, he would always keep up with the cheaters for the first half of the season and then slow as it got on. You know, like a normal human.

Grandpa always told me Griffey and fellow lefty John Olerud had that pure swing like the old Splendid Splinter himself. Well deserved.

Hopefully a crack in the dam. It's beyond dumb that Bonds and Clemens aren't in the Hall, yeah Bonds and Clemens aren't good guys but it's the Hall of Fame not the Hall of Nice.

In regards to the votes... who are the three yahoos that didn't put Griffey on their ballot? I mean... who thinks that there were 10 eligible guys that are more worthy then Griffey?

Hopefully Raines makes it next year.

Giants add Span to CF, so likely Pagan LF and Pence RF.

The Giants are loaded for bear (or Cubs).
