He may have straightline speed but in his own zone he does not skate well enough to recover when out of position.
I am watching this game on TV and the last two times McGrattan was out Ian Cole was wide open while McGrattan was out of position doing nothing.

I don't think he can play a full shift at all. He is clueless in his own zone and not good enough with the puck to get it out.
I think nowadays enforcers are turning into the 6-6'2 210-220 guys that can play 10 minutes. There is only a handful of guys in the league willing to fight McGrattan so most games before they even start McGrattan is basically neutralized by that.
Edit: Also want to add that I am not angry at McGrattan. I think he is giving it his all out there and likely willing to fight more than he does but I think his role is getting phased out and filled by a different kind/size of player.
He still seems like a good guy, hard worker and I love to watch it when he does fight.
