I understand. Not to sink to the coach's level and put his differences aside for his country. It's interesting to get the Czech take on this situation. I can tell how respected Hudler is over there which is why this whole thing blows me away. Back in November I was in Prague and when the guy running the hostel I stayed in found out I was from Calgary he was all, "oh you're a Flames fan? You know Hudler!"

Yup, we know exactly what you mean. Hudler's been nothing but class for the Flames. He wouldn't be so petty as to turn his country down if an injury to Hemsky led to that team correcting a mistake.

Petr Nedved has been doing well in the Czech Extraliga and he was really good during the World Championships.
As a Nedved fan I'm really glad he has a chance to get another Olympic medal.

Was unbelivably disappointed...../O ´Brien told reporters Jiri will be punped up and he was - 1+1 in Colorado/
Teammates did not believe him he is not in, everyone was laughing.....then everyone in dressing room felt sorry for him...
Trying to forget about it, but it is still coming back to his mind all over again....
Told Czech media he is a team guy, that he would accept any role given in Sochi......
Could not do nothing more to be nominated this season......was really motivated into the practices

Funny part in the end... one linesman during that COL game congratulated him to being nominated.....then he asked: " Are you from Czech republic?" Then Huidler told him he is not in, linesman apologized......
