I would have been fine if the goalie had won. Its tough to compare the two positions and he was lights out in the frozen four semi to beat ST Cloud but I am a little disappointed that it went to the guy because he was old and not because he was the best. The funny thing is Gudreau is almost assured of the award next year if he comes close to matching his play from this year because he will have earned it from being nominated and losing this year.

Too much politics in college awards.

Better to be on the runner up list when it comes to this award anyways!

This happened because of StrykerSteve's awful thread title. It is known.

You guys have quite a good stock of NCAA guys now. Kind of odd for a Canadian team no? Canadian teams usually tend to lean towards the CHL route.

Gaudreau topped the list of undersized hockey prospects here...

Also Jankowski made the cut for top freshman forwards...

Put down the twizzlers and pick up the carrots Johnny.

The end of the article Gaudreau confirms his poor nutrition and his efforts to over come it.

By not giving out the Baker to 1st or 2nd year players they encourage the stars to stay in College. This way they raise the standard of play and make their system stronger.

they don't give it to Junior's either. I think there have actually been more Sophomore's win than Junior's.
