Which is not bad because you won't have to pay those Alberta electronic recyling fees so it evens itself out...or does the US charge those too?

You might have to pay that fee as you bring it back into Canada. It worked that way with the $100 Air Conditioning Tax when I brought my car back.
Can anyone tell me how to determine if the plasma was assembled in Japan or Mexico?
Can anyone concretely say how much duty will be charged on a Panasonic Plasma?

Buy a HD camcorder to save all your intimate moments and then to share on CP later.
Prices in the US are about 40-50% off here.

Where are you seeing the big difference in prices on HD camcorders?

Does it do this automatically? Does this save you time, money or both?

I can't believe our dollar is so close to hitting parity with the US. My trip down to the States later this year is looking a lot cheaper.

Most UPS stores will allow you to ship merchandise there and pick it up later.
I was at the UPS Store in Ogdensburg NY yesterday and it was PACKED with stuff. They had at least five sheets of paper to list off all the names that had stuff to be picked up.

Is there a way to automatically have it forwarded to your real address?

When they were still called Mail Boxes etc, they would allow you to send stuff there and have it re-shipped. I'm sure they still offer this, but with the UPS brokerage fees I'm not sure that's the best idea any more.

I'd expect more and more companies to start canadian sites so they can keep our prices higher. What a joke.

They are most likely directing you via IP forwarding.
There are software programs that mask your WAN IP to make it think that you are coming from the US. Same sort of technology is what the Republicans were using to block non US surfers durring last election.
There is a way to get around everything with computers.

Do they sell Cookie Crisp in Canada?
I have never seen it up here and have always wanted to buy some.
