I had a stepfather who had been trying to get me out of the house since I was 12. I was stubborn though and wanted to finish school. When I was 19 and had come back into town from a construction job, he in his mean drunken haze decided to burn my mail. He was quite a bit bigger and I don't think I was completely sober either but I grabbed him and did the appropriate thing and threw him out of the house. I think he slept in the garage that night. Still feel good about that.

Unfortunalty you aren't the only one that had to test the theory of this thread on a step dad. Got left alone from then on out.

I could beat up my real dad espcially with his health problems.

As for me, I'm pretty sure I could take the old man.

He's around 5'7 and chubby, I think he'd fight dirty too, but I would win in the end.

There's no way I could take my dad. I've probably got about 20 lbs on him but he's got no fat on him and if I give him a shove it's like pushing on a statue.

And when it comes to toughness how can I compare to someone who can have a root canal and not move or wince even with no freezing or painkillers?

This sounds like the premise for some really bad reality show. First week, the battle vs. a roomful of 5 year olds. Second week, battling your Dad. Third week - your girlfriend vs. Mom.

My Dad is 6'2" and 260lbs at least. A giant of a man. Unfortunately, he's also riddled with health issues, everything from arthritis to a bad heart. And still, I couldn't take him if he just stood there - but I'm a girl, so I'm good with that.

I could take my husband though, easily. Does that count?
