Default Kick your Dad's ass

(inspired by an old kids in the hall skit...)

1 on 1, health problems aside - do you think you could beat your Dad in a fight?

Geriactrics need not apply.

When I was 18 no.

Now, yes.

he's 58, probably 160.
I'm 28, probably 200.

But - pretty messed up thought, not sure I could do much other then push around.

Well, seeing as my old man is an ex collegiate wrestler, is 6'2" and about 230lbs, and has been training in MMA (for god knows what reason, he's 58 years old) I'd have to say "only if I can bring a weapon".

Dad's in his early 50's, I'm in my mid 20's, and he'd kick my ass 8 ways from Sunday.

To put this in perspective: to keep in shape he does kick boxing, weight training, and runs. Too keep in shape I eat cookies.

Totally.

I sent my old man to the Dominican for his hip replacement. He was so doped up and in so much pain that I convinced him he had the procedure done in some swank private hospital in Miami. I saved a bundle, he has a hip about as strong as a coffee cup. Everyone wins. And I know where the weak spot is.

no matter what age my dad is vs me? My dad would be dead. over 20 years of martial arts experience do count for something.

When I was a kid, my dad and I used to spar a lot...that is until I reached 14 and kicked his ass lol.

Actually, this is pretty interesting...I'm gonna analyze this...

Let's span 4 generations.

My great-grandfather, who used to teach the military martial arts (Wushu), and used to kick the japanese's ass, can definitely destroy me.
My grandfather, no way. He'd lose, but I'm sure he'll put up a fight. He's a tough old man. At 80, he can still lift couple bags of rice over his shoulder and walk from the store back to the village. That's about 1km away.
My dad, yeah he'd lose. Though my dad did train with my great-grandfather when he was a kid, and he did have some military training. I'm pretty confident I can win.

Let me preface my post by saying I'm 25, my dad is 60. I have two or three inches on him, and probably 30 pounds. I've worked as both a bouncer and in security. That said, I have no doubt he'd kick my ass. He's a tough old guy, and he fights dirty.

I'm a bit taller and have a slight edge on him weight wise. He's 50, I'm 22. That said, I'd be done in less than 30 seconds.

Fights dirty and knows where it hurts.....

Nope. He's 61, I'm 37. He's 5'9", I'm 5'7". He's 220lbs, I'm 175. Old farmboy. Sat behind a desk for years but is still tough as nails.

My dad would win on intimidation alone.
I'm in my mid-twenties, and still, all he'd have to do is get that "I just brought home my report card" look on his face...and I'd start punching myself.

This is perhaps a little too real from the rest of the thread.
I had a stepfather who had been trying to get me out of the house since I was 12. I was stubborn though and wanted to finish school. When I was 19 and had come back into town from a construction job, he in his mean drunken haze decided to burn my mail. He was quite a bit bigger and I don't think I was completely sober either but I grabbed him and did the appropriate thing and threw him out of the house. I think he slept in the garage that night. Still feel good about that.

I just had a terrible vision of my dad grabbing a fist full of my goattee then giving me a muay thai knee right in the mush.

Thanks for this thread

But what's more important is that if you don't stop picking on me then my dad will beat up your dad.

That's pretty brutal when someone hates you when you're twelve. Outside of another twelve-year-old, and even then...
