So I call futureshop and made myself look totally stupid. here's the convo
FS: Good afternoon, thanks for calling futureshow how can I direct your call.
Me: Electronics please
FS: Yes but what department?
Me: Games
So I spoke to the lady and she said she got all her shipments for the day and no nhl 08, she has contacted other FS stores and nothing there either. "Hopefully tomorrow"

Yup just did the same thing with Super Store because my wife saw the Flyer advertising release today, they don't advertise their phone # so I found a way to call their Electronics area and they don't have it either.

I went to Blockbuster Rogers London Drugs, called Future Shop and EB. All said tomorrow and a few said the 13th.

Only people in the GTA, Hamilton, Cambridge, Kitchener-Waterloo and for some reason Port Huron Michigan got it today. I tried my ass off to find it in London, but nothing. Everywhere says tomorrow.

Haven't read any reports on best Buy yet so I called the Northland location.
The kid said, "Thursday".
Over on the EA boards there are people in Ontario reporting that the game is on shelves in the Niagra area. Another reason to hate Ontario.

Anyone know where the best prices are for the XBOX 360 version?
I pre-ordered mine from EB games for $74 but I'm really tempted to get my full refund back and go elsewhere. That seems way too high.

I'm suprised Ont got it. I would have thought, if anywhere, it would be here in Van first being EA is here. Maybe I should go down to the EA building and see if I can scam a copy from a staff member.

I remember it being $59.99 at BestBuy.
I called Wal-Mart at Macleod and Southland, and one of the girls said they're supposed to get it tomorrow evening. FS and BB are saying Thursday.

Looks like EA got wind of alot of angry people with the release date I just got an email from them and in the email it says NHL08 will be on Shelved by September 13, lol

No, not at all. I told them that I was there to pick up my copy, and mentioned that an associate had confirmed that they were in the back. He was able to confirm they were there but I could not get them to crack them out, he said they should be out tomorrow.

I picked up 2K8 earlier for $49 and lets just say ummm this game needs an overhaul. Its pretty much the exact same game as last years but with more complex controls and the pro stick. The player animations are so old gen in his game compared to the 08 demo.
