There is already a long thread about this.
I would add, however, that there are plenty of oblivious and ignorant Canadians as well. These are not qualities reserved for Americans, which is the way you made it sound.
Ann Coulter didn't say those things because she's an American.....she said them because she's 'oblivious and ignorant'.

And wow...so can us Canuckleheads be ignorant.
Didn't we have a bunch of leaders on Parliament Hill scream their ignorance about Americans?

there are Canadians that are just as bad.
I try and walk the fine line of giving credit where credit is due, yet tell it like it is in the real world.
I'm so conflicted when Canadians protest about George W. Bush. On the one hand he's not our president, another country elected him to be their leader... who the hell are we to say they're wrong, their culture, their thoughts, their beliefs, and their opinions on who should run their country is wrong?
on the other hand, he's the most powerful person in the world, and his decisions directly effect us as a nation (as evidenced by even the news clip above) so shouldn't we be able to voice our like/dislike over what someone who has influence and power over our way of life?
I always cringe when I see Canadians protesting Bush, and I think to myself, I hope they're doing it for the right reasons... as it seems like the majority of the time (I'm hate to stereotype) people are protesting for the sake of protesting and civil disobedience. I think that when people are protesting Bush for something to do, or because "it's cool" it looks bad on us as a nation.
Yet... we have the right to do it? Again, a fine line... if someone like Anne Clouter wants to be a Canadian hating broadcaster, you know what... that's her right, and if that's how she believes so be it. Who am I to say she's wrong?
... provided she provides her case. Permitting us to be neighbours doesn't really count as a point.
There's good Americans, there's bad Canadians, and vice-versa. Believe what you want as long as you're justified, I'm not going to make fun of you and call you names (mind you I do like to say Anne "Dumb Bitchfest" Clouter)

"There's a log of dogsledding in Canada. You know it's true Caroline."
You know it's true? Man. How old is this guy? 12?
It's sad that not only are these people allowed a media outlet to spew their trash but people actually watch them and believe they somehow convey the "truth". God bless America, because nobody else will.

Sadly we, in Canada, have a media outlet just like it. Only it's at the exact opposite end of the left/right swing of the pendulum. The CBC. It's also proven to be very prolific at pumping out trash they try to pass off as the "truth". The 5th Estate's program you're referring to is a wonderful example of that. God bless this wonder, mosaic country of ours called Canada because nobody else takes us seriously any more. (Oops! I forgot. Remove the reference to God. There is no longer a place for God in Canada, I've been told.)

This gets repeated so often I fear some people actually believe it.
Remember that time Peter Mansbridge berated, shouted at and insulted that guy who volunteered for the Army after his father had been killed on 9/11?
Me neither because such a thing would never happen. Mansbridge has a leftie slant no doubt, but he doesn't behave like an insulting moron.
If anyone can demonstrate an outright lie that Mansbridge made up off the top of his head during an interview to prove his point then I'd like to see it. Anything equal to the "Paris Business Review" that O'Reilly invented will suffice.
Who is the leftie version of Anne Coulter? I don't know because an insulting, childish, moronic extremist of her equal would never make it on to the CBC.

Sorry Sammie. When you said "Sadly we, in Canada, have a media outlet just like it. Only it's at the exact opposite end of the left/right swing of the pendulum. The CBC." I thought you were talking about the CBC.
How do you think I came to such a conclusion?

Well, you seem to be painting everybody on the Fox Network with the same paint brush. Can't I do the same thing with the CBC? Or isn't what's good for the goose good enough for the gander?

What was that? Why were they practically debating on the news??
Anyhow, I agree that was pretty crappy on the American's part because she was acting like a complete idiot in the beginning. Saying "Canda is lucky we allow them to share our continent." That's pretty stuck up and ######ed, and the guy even called her out on it and said "It's called geography"...lol.
Anyway, to defend myself, I will agree with everyone else in saying that a few stupid Americans shouldn't give us all a bad name. There are plenty of stupid Canadians out there, just like their are stupid people everywhere. Stereotyping is bad...don't do it!! :P
