Wait, I read the whole article and at the end of it it says that WWE shares are down... WWE is a publicly traded company? WTF?

Color me surprised - not!
Sooner or later you had to know that the wrestling federation was going to be hit with something like this.

No more post-match Horse Tranquilizers either I bet. Now they'll have to drink their pain away just like the rest of us.

There's no question that there's wrestlers that use steroids. The inaccurate claim is that most are on them which is false. Addiction to painkillers is a far bigger problem in wrestling.

many sites i've seen have Edge listed as someone on the client list for the pharmacy. I'm wondering though if it's from before when he was addicted to pain killers (something he's admitted to doing and even discussed on off the record).
Also, when his name surfaced after benoit he defended himself on his blog, so again, I'm wondering if his name is on the list but he has not been suspended since it was a long time ago.
I find it hard to believe a guy would go so far to defend himself if it were true, at most i'd expect a barry bonds type response. If he did in fact pull a raphael palmeiro, he'll lose the respect of a lot of people and fans.

Lifetime Suspension

There was someone on here who claimed that WWF wrestlers don't do steroids a while back. So much for that!

Yeah, didn't the WWE list publically back in like 98 or 99. I think they even bought an add during the Superbowl to promote it. Heck they might have still been the WWF back than.

The thing here that makes it surprising to me is not the use of the steroids... it's the fact that the "Wellness Policy" has been in play for 2-3 years now, and yet, this is the first mass, expected, suspension of the WWE roster.
Shame on Vince McMahon, and shame on me for tuning in still every once in a while. I fell less shame for enjoying those grizzly cubs trained to play hockey and ride tricycles than I do for watching humans hurt themselve the way these idiots have.
FYI - I know that Edge and Kennedy have publicly stated that they have used steroids in the past but don't anymore... doesn't mean that there's not HGH in their blood tho.

The next thing you know, we'll find out that the Divas all have implants.

So I guess I'll be the first person to bring it up...does it really matter? Sure it's illegal, but these people are not contractually obligated to do steroids, and if they are, maybe they should be signing better contracts. Obviously beefing up is what gets these guys their jobs, but it's still a personal choice.

Well, I guess it matters when they go into "roid rage" and beat or kill people.
