Chalk me up as one who misses shoestring. He even featured in my sig for a while. For the longest time, I couldn't figure out if he was brilliant or crazy--and then eventually I settled on brilliant after he dropped a few Hunter S. Thompson references on me in the midst of one of his gnomic, haiku-like posts.
Hope he's okay. Maybe he just got a life, something I should do one of these days.

I met shoestring once last year about a month before he disappeared. I've been trying to contact him ever since, but he doesn't answer my emails. I owe him dinner.

He is, and a bit of a chain smoker, which leads me to be really concerned about him. Morbid maybe but I tried to go through the obits around the time he disappeared and didn't find anything. His last visit was December 6th? of last year...
