Default CFL Game at it's best.

Even though the game ended up in a tie, in my heart the Stamps won the game. Very impressed with the Stamps tonight. Overall they played tremendously against one of the best or maybe the best team in the league. I was hard on Hank Burris earlier this season but I have to admit I am very impressed with his play tonight and in the last few games. I hope he continues playing the way he's been playing lately. I am very impressed with his composure late in the 4th period. He did not panic and he's got presence of mind finding Nik Lewis. The same way in the first period of OT. Great run TD for Burris. Yes, it was a dangerous play and I probably won't be admiring his gutsy play if he drop the ball before he hit the end zone but I won't even think of 'what-if'.
Great to see Joffrey Reynolds running the ball again. It is noticeable that when Reynolds runs the ball a lot, it take off a lot of pressure on Burris to make good plays all the time. It also keeps the defense guessing whether Burris will throw, or run the ball or give the ball to Reynolds. Anyways, I am very impressed with the Stamps tonight. Defense could play a lot better but BC defense was the same way.

GO Stamps GO!! Bring on the Eskies!!

well they did play much better, but they couldn't beat a team that lost their #1 LB before the game, their #1 reciever was on their 3rd qb.

Recievers are going after more balls and running harder, the returners are running hard with the ball and they are clearly trying to develop a henry proof offence.

I was at the game and, while it was a lot of fun to watch, I wouldn't necessarily call it "CFL football at its best." Both sides played absolutely terrible defence at times and the tackling was just brutal for much of the game.

I like high scoring games as much as the next guy but I'd prefer to see a little bit of defence mixed in as well.

I was getting used to the new CFL where alot of teams have great defenses. Its refreshing to see the 1990's CFL high scoring football return for a night because there are too many 17-9 games in today's CFL.

Burris SHOULD have looked good compared to 2nd and 3rd stringers....

But I will agree he didnt look as terrible as normal.

Interesting and amusing statement.

Are you talking about the "terrible" Henry Burris that leads the entire CFL in passing yards?

Good one. He has had his struggles at times, but to call him terrible just proves that you love to rail on about anything thats anti-Calgary.

Very transparent.

I too was there last night and I was pleased to see Hank lead that team in overtime the way he did. I'm surprised people are down on his performance. Hell, he was in on 6 touchdowns! Yes he made some mistakes again but overall Burris was the scrambling, unpredictable QB that Calgary needs and other teams dread.

Not perfect for sure but a damned sight better than he has been.

Cerebral is right - the defences were awful.

Burris was very good, but also still made many bad decisions with the ball. the interception was not his fault, but there were three other balls that should have been picked-off. He was also very reckless on the O/T touchdown, nearly fumbling the ball as he reached for the goal line.

Refs blew an important call in the 4th - when Burris got sacked on a drive, they missed the shot to his head. If they call that, the game does not even go to O/T.

What I didn't like was H. Burris going "I looked like Michael Jordan!" or whatever after the game on his touchdown leap.

Get a life, dude. You still didn't win.

If anyone recorded the game watch it again. The7 are changing the offence to make it idiot proof. On the vast majority of plays he doesn't even have reads anymore, snap and throw, snap and throw.

That will work for a game or two, but the answer is bump coverage and creative blitzs.

At some point henry will need to get back to a vertical game, which is where he has struggled since he came here.

He may have alot of yards, but he has delay of games penalties, a ton of fumbles many picks and even last night it hit a couple LB's right between the numbers. If the LB's weren't bumping into each other fighting for the ball that could have been a 14 point game quite easily.

Henry played ok last night, I liked a couple of his decisions to run, and he is still definately athletic, but he is in no way an answer. The stamps are 500 at best as long as he is QB.

Hey why was that roughing the QB penalty called in the first quarter? I could see anything but a normal tackle.

If the QB hasn't left the pocket it is a penalty to tackle him below the knees.

Serious? ok, I'll stick with the NFL then where football is still a contact sport.

I'm trying to think back to the one you're talking about.

Is that the one where the Stamp sacked the QB and then celebrated? From one angle, I guess it looked like he made a swing at the QB's head (and missed) but got flagged for it anyway.
