OMG. I couldn't imagine have four identical twin girls. Youc an't tell them apart, and eventually, they'll all be 16 and dating.

They do get US citizenship from being born in the US right?

Nope, just cause you're born there doesn't mean your a citizen.
If your parents are both Canadian citizens (as in this case), and you just happen to be born in the US, that doesn't mean you automatically get US citizenship. At least as far as I know.

My sister is a dual citizen having been born in the states,my dad was working in Boston at the time but he and my mom were Canadians only.

Rules may have changed,that was 50 years ago.

They have US citizenship by virtue of them being born there. See here.

I am not sure if the Canadian citizenship will be automatic or if the parents have to apply for it, but it would be granted without any issue.

So, they will be dual citizens, which is pretty cool.

EDIT: I just read a little further in the link I gave. On p. 46 it has the rules for Canada, which states that the'll have Canadian citizenship immediately too. If they don't live in Canada and apply for citizenship, it will be revoked at age 28. Presumably, the parents will apply for this on their behalf immediately. This will give them permanent dual citizenship unless they renounce either one.

what are the rules on dual citizenship? my grandparents on my father's side are American, and my dad was born in the states, but i was born in Canada. would i have any claim?

This has been my understanding with people I know who were born in the US. They can if they choose but otherwise the babies are consider to have been born 'abroad' and have to apply for Canadian citizenship.

If your dad was born in the US, and is a US citizen you would be able to get your US citizenship. My Grandfather was american (born in the US) and my mom has dual citizenship even though she hasn't lived a day of her life in the US. I can't get my US citizenship unless my mom lives in the US for a period of time (or so I was told).

If you claim before your 18th birthday yes, after no.
