Have Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and Cyberpunk downloaded.. Kingdom Come 2 is... intense. Still early and it's insanely slow but I want to like it. Does it open up more?
Gamepass sure has value sometimes!

Outer World 2 - The combat and movement is a lot of fun and especially the some of the weirder weapons. I loved my time with both 1 & 2. Amazon has a show called Secret Level that has an episode that ties into the game called 'The Outer Worlds: The Company We Keep'. Worth a watch.

KCD2 - Once you start making some decent income (I think I did blacksmithing) and get a horse, the game really opens up. At the start you just have to be a little patient.

Cyberpunk - One of my all-time favorite games.

Echoing the Crimson Desert comments above.

I usually try to play these Open World RPGs using a controller on my PC, but the inability to remap the keybindings was a strange choice by Pearl Abyss.

Taking a second crack at it a couple days after launch with KB/Mouse, you're at least able to re-map KB/Mouse keybindings so that made the decision to limit controller remapping even stranger to me, but at least I'm able to somewhat feasibly control my character now.

That being said, only 4 hours played so far and not really being 'grabbed' just yet.

For those who played/loved Kingdom Come Deliverance 2: is the first one worth playing at all?

I’ve heard it’s a good game but that KCD2 was a big step up, so not sure I want to bother if it’s just a worse version of that.

Been going back through my 'played ages ago' library, and am revisting the Torchlight games. Currently halfway through 2. I'd forgotten how fun they are.

I loved it, played the hell out of it. Not sure id say 2 was a 'big step up' maybe just more polished

I have the first on steam but haven't gotten to it. I understand you don't have to play the first to enjoy the second but there are lots of bits of continuity that enhance the 2nd one so it's worthwhile. That's just what I've read though.

Glad it opens up because I really want to get into it but found it such a slog. Killing a dude then slowly carrying his body to the creek to bury him was immersive the first time, when you have to do it again with two more it got a little tedious.

I played KC1 for a bit and gave up after a while. It was pretty boring at the start, although it got great reviews. I plan on starting KC2 soon and sticking with it.

Thanks, the updated version was on sale for $10 so I nabbed it based on this comment.

KCD2 has been really fun. I don’t play a ton so I probably have a few more months before I’m even close to done but figured having something else in the queue wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Agree with BT that it definitely felt like a slog at first but eventually everything comes together and it is a great time.
