This is a bad team with a lot of heart. They aren't going to lose every game for the rest of the season. But if they can keep the effort through the rebuild they will be better for it coming out. Gridin is a real standout.

Next year is going to be really interesting for him. Another summer to prep, and stapled to the top six and top PP.
It’ll be interesting to see what he can deliver on a consistent basis.
I still love that draft. I wanted Basha in the 1st and Gridin in the 2nd. When they took Gridin I was legit surprised…and then when they got Basha in the 2nd? Perfection.

If the Flames can get some lottery luck to compliment all the picks they do have elsewhere, it’s going to be awesome - because I do have a strong amount of faith in them being able to pull excellent value from those deeper picks…just need a couple of those legit top picks.
Connyfidence, and faith in the hockey gods is what I’ve got right now.
