It sucks to start the season like this but adversity is good. Having numerous guys coming back throughout the season will only be a bigger boost. It’ll be alright.

Nice to have this starting depth after we were all concerned with when they made all the signings.

3 guys down and still have a full rotation. Good on the team for making the necessary moves to absorb this.

I'm not worried yet.

No not worried yet. But the margin for error or injury makes things tight. Just like #4 or #5 starter Francis fell on his face last April, there’s going to be someone who doesn’t match up with the numbers he had last year. Conversely someone may step it up. Plus there’s enough long relief (ie Varland) that they can have some bullpen games.

Its a concern for sure, if these starters injuries are of longer term

Jays could have issues

José Berríos on IR
Shane Bieber on IR
Trey Yesavage on IR

Max Scherzer at his age, no way he can pitch a full season.

How Blue Jays' Brendon Little reinvented his pitching arsenal

Could be poised for a massive season.

Ponce with 5 and a third of one hit ball yesterday, Max with 5 clean innings today.

Honestly, seeing SP's hitting the "IL" is something I 100% expected when the Jays went out and acquired 8 starting pitchers who are MLB caliber and not deserving of being put in AAA. I expect them to baby these guys most of the season to keep them fresh and ramp them up at crunch time.

It’s funny because ultimately non of his blowups ultimately hurt us in the long run - we lead in the 9th of game 7

But it sure would have been nice to have a reliever other then Varland we could trust in that game 7

You trusted Varland?

I actually think Varland is gonna be an elite reliever but last year you could tell he was in his own head after being dealt by the Twins. I was petrified every time he stepped on the mound.

He looked soooo nervous in the WS. Took years off of my life, probably

So, despite the injuries that still looks like an MLB starting rotation. That's pretty sexy.

Saw a tweet that said this lines up Scherzer, Gausman, then Cease for the first series against the Dodgers

Atkins gets a 5 year extension until 2031.

Schneider gets a 2 year extension until 2028.
