It's nigh impossible to directly use up 80gb a month on a phone, that's why they removed the hotspot functionality. It's something they did regularly in the US for ages.

Fido has an 80GB plan for $27 right now if you nab it before March 23. Some strange inconsistent things about it for hot spoting and international usage, but overall seems like a decent "basic plan" worth considering in general for many if usage is local/no need to hot spot. Hot spot is a $5 per month add on, no fee for new lines but also supposedly there's a potential APN work around to avoid that $5 per month fee.

I just talked to someone at Fido, the $5 hot spot fee is waived for new customers.

Thanks for the heads up, Virgin has upped my bill twice in the last year, competition between companies is great.
