Yeah, she was competitive in that first set, but really needed to win it and when she dropped it 7-5, you knew it was big trouble. There will be some lucky losers making the main draw though, so still a slim chance.
I think it would be great as there should be a grass 1000 but a hard ask for tour players to transition from IW hardcourt, to grass, then to clay season.
Move Wimbledon and everything back 1 month and have a grass masters 1000
Yeah, something along those lines, IW is fine where it is on the calendar and the weather is generally good, but this Miami tourney is usually plagued with bad weather and it's played in a football stadium, it is generally regarded as the worst Masters 1000 tourney. We already have enough Masters 1000 on hard courts, either eliminate it or make it a 500 and make Queen's Club a 1000 prior to Wimbledon.
Maybe we should keep an eye on Frenchman Moise Kouame, he just turned 17 earlier this month and just now defeated Zachary S###da to advance to the 2nd round of the Miami Open.
Edit: S v a j d a in case people are wondering - Wow, that's quite the filter lol

Denis is likely going to be out of the top 50 by the time of the French Open.
I'm not sure how many points he has to defend between now and the French Open, but I can't think it's all that many. He has had some pretty good results on the dirt in the past (Madrid comes to mind), as you know EE, he can catch fire and have a good week, you just never know.
