Towards the north side of the building. The ramp to the parkade is basically in-line with the rear of the old Coop building.

It will be a lot easier to navigate once the old store is demolished, but they have put up some better signage in the last week.
They also sent out an email on Friday with better instructions on how to access the underground parking (I assume this just went to people who usually shop at that location).
I used the underground parking on Thursday and it was almost completely empty. When I arrived, there were two other vehicles parked there and when I left, I was the only one.
I agree that the elevator could definitely be a problem going forward when more people start using the underground parking and the store is busy. I also found it to be quite slow for an elevator that only has two floors.

I used the stairs to go up from the parkade but it was weird because the top of the staircase opens up to the sidewalk instead of inside the store entrance.

Lots of places have cart escalators, IIRC Target at Chinook had one.

Yeah I never stepped into that Zellers until it became a Target apparently.

In a surprise to probably no one Smugglers has closed. Landlord seems to have locked them out after falling behind 200k in rent.
Tried going twice since they came back and both times were not good experiences.

I went there for lunch a couple of months ago and was amazed at how truly bad it was. I figured it was a front for something.

Their website is alleging "Due to unexpected flooding and waterline breaks related to City of Calgary infrastructure,
Smugglers Restaurant is temporarily closed while repairs and renovations take place."
I remember once upon a time, it used to be "the" place for prime rib, but I wasn't especially impressed last time we went, which must have been 2024. What's the prevailing opinion for top prime rib spots in town now?

It was old school so maybe it was great in the 70s. My family still loved going there, especially for the Sunday special. Trying to make it more high end was a mistake. I think they lost a lot of their old clientele who came for the bean soup and big weird chairs.

It looks like Rusty's in Shawnessy has been replaced by a crab place? Didn't catch the name but it has a new logo on the side
