This news is so common, I just let out a sigh every time it happens. Of course, the media is on top of any dead wrestler news these days.

Didn't "Crush" do a stint in jail for drug related charges in the late 80s or early 90s? Maybe it was weapons charges... needless to say he had a checkered past.
I don't think so much that it is the steroids killing these guys as it is the steroids along with the multitude of other pain killers and recreational drugs that these guys take, and then they used to be heavy partiers. Supposedly they have toned down a bit on the partying but I'd suspect the pain killers are still rampant. When I talk about pain killers I talk about the abuse of pain killers, and whether they are addicted to them or not, they abuse them.

Wrestler tragedy is becoming a monthly occurrence. I am not even surprised anymore.

 |
That really depends. Unions appeal to the LCD (Lowest common Denominator). If you're any good relative to the rest of the people at your company you have real bargaining power and the threat of you leaving is what gets you paid more.

Huh?

Its called private industry, if you arent smart enough to realize that to much doping will result in your death then well you should have been cast off at birth like Spartan children (I love The 300). No one is forced to become a dopestar, it can assist the careers of individuals who lack charisma or natural body types.

Steroids are completely safe and work great if used in moderation with a proper training routine. 2 months on, 3-4 months off. That way it gives your body time to recover and utilize the incredible power of steroids.

They were Ax and Smash... I always rooted for them against the Legion of Doom.

I believe the Honalolo Airport Security found Steriods, and a tazer. When the police searched his home they found weed.

Its rumoured the problem with allot of the wrestlers which causing deaths is not only steriods buts its the abuse with Pain Killers (taking an unbelievable high amount is the rumour) and Alcohol. From what I have read these guys are Over dosing on Pain Killers especially mixing it with Alcohol.

I'd surmise that it is well past the rumour stage.

Some guys have even detailed what they would do to make it through the day.

Del Wilkes who wrestled as The Patriot described what he took to get through the pain. I read an interview with Sean Waltman (aka X-Pac, 6-pac, 1-2-3 Kid) where he talked about drug use in the business. I've seen other interviews or comments in books about wrestlers life styles and their usage of drugs. Some of these guys seem to know as much about drugs as some doctors (exageration but you get the point).

It is quite amazing that some guys are still alive. I read about guys like Lex Luger and Scott Hall and they don't even know how they are alive.

Yah, I agree I put in "rumour" as I could not find the link. A example of a wrestler who has done a massive amount of drup abuse and should be amazed he is alive is Jake the Snake Roberts. He looks 20 years older than he is.

Crap I have no idea, the point is beacuse of the vast amount of substance abuse; a person would think he is much older. He has not aged well.

Jake, has had a very troubled past and its amazing he is still alive.
