Poop... no time.

A gift by the refs.
We got a penalty for watching Meier fall.

Obviously, the Devils get a late PP. And they score.

That was just a complete garbage call on Hanley. These refs only call cross checks on one team.

Too bad. I wonder if the Devils can score again in 4 seconds.

Blues win and Jets and Rangers are tied, so this isn't too bad for the tank.

Absolutely abysmal effort by the devils
That is a team that doesn’t seem like a team
For the Flames, Matta and Strome have exceeded expectations so far

The Flames have the same number of wins as the LA Kings, who sit tied for the last playoff spot in the West.

It is possible that the Devils just suck. IMO they are a poorly contracted team that does not have the guys you need to ever be much better than a bad team.

Leafs also win, just need Chicago to pull out a win and tonight's win is basically a wash #ethicaltank

It will forever be debated which goal he gave up in the 1st game of the Oilers series as the one that sent Markstrom’s career into a tailspin that’s never recovered.
Him out-battling Ottenger for 7 games the series before made him the MVP of that series and allowed us fans a Game 7 OT moment that will be shown forever.
But something happened that game 1 after the Flames had two 4 goal leads blown and pucks found ways through him from then on. It affected Andersson and Hanfin from that point on, especially game 3 and beyond because those two guys were worse than Markstrom was as that series concluded.
Average play the next year would’ve got the Flames into the playoffs but his yips continued, pucks that have no business going through a goalie that big.
He’s always been positioned great, can make great saves and cover a lot of the net. Good on breakaways and shootouts. Good on deflections and solid with traffic in front of him. But the below average dangerous shots into his torso seem to be an adventure since that May evening.
Every highlight package I’ve seen while in NJ, he lets in one somehow through his body. Tonight was a pillowy soft one from Backlund.

Hopefully Andersson and Hanifin get their comeuppance against the Oilers in the playoffs this year.
