That first gen Escape was a such a clean looking little SUV. Kind of went downhill from there.
New ones have been sooooooooo lame for a long time.
For a sport cute, I think the Bronco Sport is a cool package. I was just in Saskatchewan last week and I think that's their official vehicle. Every second car is a Bronco Sport.
The angle of the sun (and the mask on the rearview mirror) tells me that picture is 4-5 years old, TBF.
The camera it was taken with came out in 2013(COOLPIX L610). Now, it is Dion so he could still be using that point and shoot today, but I almost feel like I've seen this exact photo a few years ago.
I've switched to the GPT lab. Quicker results, though sometimes you need to confirm finger count manually. Hella good enhance though. Makes up all sorts of detail.
Sounds like quite the f-up for the new Subaru hybrids. Owners are being told to park outside and not fill up the fuel tanks to full because gasoline could be forced out of a fault cap seal.

Bold move by Mercedes to re-enter the minivan market with an electric offering, coming hot on the heels of flops such as the VW ID Buzz and their own G580E.
Woof. Looks like a 2018 CRV from the side. That half moon D pillar...
Europeans just can't design a passenger 'van' for the north american market and european market worth beans. (the Sprinter is of course, a cargo van 1st and foremost)
This'll sell as many as they sold of their Metris, which was barely any.

The Germans just can't seem to get out of their own way these days. ID Buzz being electric instead of hybrid, trying to make electric Caymans/Boxsters happen, MB's looking like melting bars of soap with a cheeseball middle-eastern nightclub inside, VW stripping their cars of all personality (and buttons), BMW's pushing the envelope on ugliness, Audi being lost in the weeds etc.

What the Germans have been doing lately has definitely made me revisit my opinion on Jaguar's last decade of design direction in my exchange with you&me back in 2024 (although having added one to the household will also do that). Oh to have those cars back now.
- Mercedes appears to be designing cars to compete with regular Teslas for "whose car looks more like a suppository" (save for the Cybertruck, which is designed to attract raccoons foraging for trash).
- BMW is alternating between "demonic Bugs Bunny" and "Pumbaa from The Lion King" for front-end designs -- and what the hell did they do to the rear of the 5-Series? I saw a 530i on 11 Street the other day and I thought it was an up-badged Corolla. Chris Bangle... I forgive you.
- Audi... I mean, I'm not really offended by anything Audi's done visually and -- of the Germans -- they probably have the best-looking lineup at this point.
As for the VLE, it screams R-Class part two. It's answering a question that no one asked.

To be fair BMW has owned this decade becoming the top luxury brand seller as well as being considered one of the most reliable brands by JD Power and Consumer reports which is pretty amazing when you consider their initial foray into DI and turbocharging in the 2000's. Enthusiasts may not love some of their new designs but clearly it's not affecting the opinions of consumers.

I can't decide what's worse.. that van or the website for the van.
The back look like someone photocopied daft punk with the wrong resolutions... The front looks like a stunned video game character with a breathing mask. WTF is this thing?
I'd take a Sprinter van over this thing any day.
The internal seating configuration + modular customization is the only thing that remotely intrigues me, but this execution... deserves a firing squad. Yikes.
