What an absolute failure of the western world to stand united against tyranny.
I don't think that's quite fair. Yes it's incredibly frustrating that the support hasnt been what it could and should have been, but on the other hand Ukraine has still gotten incredibly high amounts of financial and material support historically speaking, and Europe has looked very convincingly like it's in it for the long haul.
F the US though for being such turncoats.

So odd how time flies. I started getting messages on linkedin that I was 6 years at my job in Montreal. Hard to fathom.. half of it was a blur due to covid.
Can't imagine what the Ukrainians have been dealing with now for over 4 years. What can't happen is have Ukraine fall off of the front page of current events. The CNN news cycle of 100% eyes on one issue while ignoring another needs to be broken

Europe must not assist the US in its war against Iran:
1. Europe must focus on helping Ukraine defeat Russia.

I saw it reported that the U.S. has waived some of the sanctions on Russian oil to relieve the pressure on the oil backed up at the Strait of Hormuz, which is unfortunate. On the flip side, at least Iran should stop supplying weapons to Russia for now (hopefully).

👉 The consequence is dangerous: more men will flee, more families will panic, and the pressure inside Russia will get harder for the Kremlin to contain. https://twitter.com/user/status/2030705998772478305

We have received some messages regarding how to help civilians in the Middle East and how to help American soldiers deployed in certain countries. We responded: we will send experts and provide everything needed to protect them. Many issues are being discussed in this dialogue. It's interesting in a morbid kind of way that what is happening in the Middle East right now with Iran flinging missiles everywhere very much mimics what Ukraine has been dealing with for a few years , and suddenly everyone is all horrified and upset with Iran doing it. If anything, it confirms that both Russia and Iran are terrorist states cut from the same cloth.
This is not to downplay what has happened in various ME countries with apartments being hit, yet that is a daily occurrence in Ukraine that doesn't make the headline news and never draws the same outrage. A few days ago, an apartment in Kharkiv was struck by a missile and around a dozen people have now been confirmed dead. Barely a blip on the news, yet the missiles that have struck apartments in UAE, Bahrain were all front page news and alongside it a very heavy analysis and reporting on it (as there should be).
There is some footage of drones buzzing overhead and striking ME targets, and Kyiv faces literally hundreds of those on a daily basis. This isn't a contest to see who gets more footage or deserves more sympathy, but just interesting to see that the rest of the world finally seems to be catching up on what drone terrorism looks like and what happens now that the West seems to have slept on catching up on drone tech to counter them, which is what Ukraine has been innovating on the last while. As well the footage of oil depots in Iran is pretty crazy to see...if you haven't seen the dozens of strikes UA has done against russia over the past few years.
The talk of Ukraine "wasting" expensive patriot et al missiles to take down a cheap drone was discussed back when they first got those launcher's a few years ago, but that seems to have entered the conversation as of a few days ago where the West suddenly realizes that Iran can keep pumping out cheap drones that causes the US to waste those missiles and now there appears to be a shortage. NATO et al would be smart to review over the past few years and see exactly how the Ukrainians have been dealing with these kinds of attacks.
